Football is a matter of opinion, not fact. There is more than one explanation and more than one reading, therefore it is not fact. It is a saying as old as “ ‘there is no truth’ only ‘truths’” (modernist theory). It may not make sense to you, that is entirely different to it not making sense

They may have done, but Esteve was ball watching and in no man’s land, unaware of the striker behind him in space. Had he not been there would have been no need for a sliding tackle as he outpaced the striker massively to even get back as he did. It's ******** this. He was fully aware of Malan behi...

I wouldn't use the word complete d1ckhead or ponder on his motives but subsequent to Pace's comments I have thought the only plausible reason is a psychological/attitude problem. What if he’s a complete d1ckhead to staff around the training ground, and/or thinks he’s better than everyone, and is not a character Parker wants to build his squad around? It's actually Esteve and Hartman who somehow contrive to allow far, far too much space for the first goal, but the guy takes his shot really early on both goals, but especially the second, which is very clever and means Esteve is still half a stride away from making the block both times. It does seem like the most sensible theory at this point but it could be slightly short sighted if that's the case. As it is we are unlikely to get any type of fee for him if we sold. However, if we could get him playing then you'd think we'd make back at least some of that money anyway.

Cullen being our most advanced central midfielder in the first half shows how much we miss Brownhill’s pressing and much better eye for goal. Club wanted to keep him and he didn’t want to stay. Amazing how we’ve bucked up since Les came on isn’t it. And we are packing the midfield a bit more. Quite obvious what the system should be. His movement in and around the box needs a lot of work. A quick burst to the back post when Foster drove down the left would have left him a tap in.
Also happened in the first half where he just stood still when the ball was switched to Walker.
