I went to that game, we had a good following. Haven’t seen the footage before. Some meaty challenges going in but that’s no surprise with Pearce and Keane playing. Don’t think the final score was a fair reflection of our performance.

I can remember watching the very first episode of Dr Who with my older brother - a quick search reveals it was November 1963 .... for some reason I prefered the giant ant Zarbi creatures to the Daleks :) . It was good escapism and fun for a while.

Just been in touch with Ralphy and mentioned this thread. For sake of accuracy he asked me to clarify that his daughter, who has been living in Australia for a few years now, is named Clarette Annalisa. She’s always loved her name as I recall :)

Fabulous photos. Have traced family back on my dad's side into the 1850s in Burnley, most of whom were listed as being weavers or loom maintenance, but no idea which mills. Fascinating stuff.

Knew nothing about him when we signed him. Have been very impressed with all aspects of his game and I think the whole team seems more balanced when he plays. I would be happy for us to put out the same starting XI every time as we have for the last two matches.

That same starting line-up for the last two games has seemed to bring out the best in the lads. We looked balanced, dangerous, and solid. Players seem happy with it too. Superb away performance today.
