Re: RATE THE REF - Andrew Kitchen v Aston Villa

I think (only think) due to the fact the game was stopped while the ball was in play the directive is now that the player has to leave the field of play. On the Villa one the ball went dead so didn’t need to leave the field of play. He may be right on that one but not sure.

I think most people there would vote for Tresor if they could. Bit of a poor showing when a player who only came on for 12 minutes was a clear man of the match!

Re: RATE THE REF - Thomas Bramall v Nottingham Forest

Strange this week for me. I judge the officials more on the big calls and I thought the Foster one in the second half was a blatant foul and from my view it also looked like Esteve tripped over his own feet when he gave us a free kick when Forest were going through (I know his assistant flagged it -...

Between him and Matt Donoughe who is the best at this level (hope he doesn’t prove me wrong) for me.

I am glad though that unlike our last few big games the pgmol have not gambled on an inexperienced referee (kitchen and backhouse) and have gone for a more experienced referee at this level.
