Re: Trafford’s tweet
He didn't get abuse, he got criticism. He's in a role where that will always happen, you aren't. Plus how can you be sure your peers didn't criticise you behind your back without you knowing? Sorry to hear about your troubles and hope you've fully recovered but they have nothing to do with James Tr...

Re: Star pub & carvery, Manchester Road
Not before time!
Last time i went was over 5 years ago.
I ordered a mix grill. It came with some instant mash, about a tablespoon worth, that they had squashed to smithereens to try and fill up the plate.
Never been back!

Re: Trafford’s tweet
I have never said that it didn’t happen! Read my posts on this and the other Trafford thread. I accepted that he had received some abuse and groans, however I stated it was only a small minority. I’m not trying to defend anything and it is totally out of order if people shout abuse at him or any ot...

Re: Trafford’s tweet
He may have been young but he's paid a hell of a lot of money and he's confident enough to make a statement that he could play in a champions league final already because he's ready.....that was before he signed for us, last season proved he was wrong Does what you get paid have any relevance? I do...

Re: Trafford’s tweet
In all seriousness does anyone think that Burnley players ever come on here? I personally don’t think they do, or if they do very few and rarely. I think they are far removed from what we think. The only time they get criticism they know of is when on the field and Trafford, despite his faults, nev...

Re: Trafford’s tweet
Seriously, I have no wish to get into another argument but Trafford was not given a hard time. There was a bit of vocal dissent it in his last couple of home games but nothing like you say. If there was more than 50 to 100 people chanting Muric I would be very surprised. The snide comments you refe...

Re: Trafford’s tweet
He wouldn’t be well within his rights to slag us off. I don’t know how many times I and others have to say it ……… He wasn’t given a hard time by the Burnley support. Maybe not by every supporter but i heard plenty of booing around myself in the CFS. Also, constant shouts of Muric whenever Trafford ...

Re: Trafford’s tweet
Not sure how that is disrespecting Burnley fans but some of the stuff aimed at him on various sites if he has had a pop back at someone fair play to him. He has probably then been told that some of those who criticise can't cope being criticised themselves and get a bit precious and defensive. Some...

Re: Valencia fans racism verdict
Suppose it depends on the crime, I suspect it is far harder doing time for violent crime than blue collar: both those I knew were done for fraud… one was a smart arse trying to beat the system and the other was trapped trying to please his employer and was caught in a blind alley. The first never l...

Re: Valencia fans racism verdict
I have known a couple of people who served time… both said the weeks in Remand were the hard yards and once they were sentenced to open prison they were amazed how easily the time passed. One of the people i know served 15 years. Hated every moment. Only got easier in the last 2 years when moved to...

Re: Valencia fans racism verdict
I'm not sure jail time in this country would be a deterrent I'd say a reward over there it would probably constitute punishment. A very good friend of mine was a PO at Strange ways. Believe me, the myth of "holiday camp" couldn't be further from the truth. I also know people who have served time an...

Re: Newcastle bid £15m for Trafford
Homegrown which is needed for European competitions I don't think nationality comes into the homegrown debate. Its dependant on how many years you have come through a club under a certain age? For example, Fabregas was always classed as homegrown. We also need a certain amount of homegrown players ...

Re: Next manager
only going of what people have said maybe he was passing through and just spent the night there like a lot of celebrities do ... It's a mystery but i think it is highly doubtful that Lampard stayed the night at Crow wood. If that was the case, guaranteed in this day and age picture evidence would b...

Re: Visit Detroit?
Every time the CEO changes there’s a whole new Exec team within a year, who then change their leadership. That can be disruptive and not always positive but good does come of it too. This happens every 4 years at my company with it being owned by PE. The change in strategies is unbelievable. Especi...
