Re: Manor Ground, Oxford United: Old Grounds Remembered (X)

I remember the 5-0 thrashing all too well as I’d been invited into hospitality by the match ball sponsor. Oh how i enjoyed being photographed handing the match ball to Paul Moody who'd scored a hattrick. Never had to force a smile so much..

Re: Ashley Barnes

I’m really excited by this. It’s like having Putin’s nuclear arsenal.. we might not need to use it, it might not work if we do, but it puts the fear of god into the other side!

The 257th draw in a row we’ve been drawn away.
Got me thinking that.. it’s 7 consecutive away draws in the two cups. Lower than 1% chance of that happening.

Re: Burnley Grammar School/Habergham High School

He was a German, Computer Studies and Careers teacher at Habergham in the mid/late 80s when I was there. One of my favourite teachers. A teacher you could have a laugh with. Mr Denson was a fantastic teacher. Went on a trip to Germany with him around ‘81- I suspect that’s the only time the Nurburgr...

Re: Today's Football

Just watched the Brighton guy fall to the floor as if Madison had elbowed him if that was rugby it would be reviewed and he’d get a retrospective ban, cheating little ****. The cheating and feigning injury is getting seriously bad. PNE yesterday were appalling. Players have to sort this out, it’s ge...

Re: Mobile signal / wifi at the Turf

I have Tesco ( uses O2 ) and with the exception of WhatsApp and occasionally Twitter I get nothing from the summit downwards into town. I’m happy to keep my phone in my pocket on the match, but it’s a pain in the rear for car parking.
