Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Whilst the Benfica fans don't seem upset at all about Luis leaving, he could be a player that really fits our position right now. Seems to absolutely excel defensively, and I imagine we're going to be on the defense more than not this year. "Benfica fan here. Liability with the ball in his feet, go...

Being able to read the game is usually more valuable than speed. Unless of course if you have Kyle Walker speed. We'll usually be set up in a defensive position with little space behind. That'll suit Ekdal.

CJ is a young lad who had his breakout season last year. A significant upgrade in the goalkeeping department? Yeah that’s why Newcastle were desperately trying to sign Trafford to be number 1. I don’t even think you believe Dubravka is better than Trafford. I’m not judging based on PL starts but if...

That spine of Trafford, Esteve, Egan Riley, Cullen and Brownhill was so key to our solid performances last season. It's disappointing to see it broken up, but there's not much the club could do to prevent it this summer. I was hoping to only lose 1 maybe 2 of them and then use that base build upon a...

Newcastle have plenty of money, but they can't spend it yet due to the PSR rules. If they are dropping 50m+ on Elanga then they are less likely to have space to spend on Trafford. Selling Isak could help them, but of course then they would need to spend to replace him too.

I don't understand why so many think Trafford is off to Newcastle. They have Nick Pope, who if you remember is quite good. Yet another game where Parker sets up with a 2 man midfield and the result is we are worse off. We have a much better balance when we have 3 CMs on the pitch. Very poor game from Worral. He had zero idea of the danger around him for the 2nd and 3rd goal and reacted far too late. Simple defending fro...

Laurent is your typical box to box midfielder who has the physicality to try and make up for the technical deficiencies. On some days, things will work for him, on other days they won't. He is what he is. But every team needs a workhorse like that in midfield more often than not throughout the season

People want us to be more attacking, but we have been more creative when playing the formation like tonight. When we have dropped a CM for another attack we look worse. Trafford Roberts, Egan Riley, Esteve, Humphreys Cullen, Laurent, Brownhill Anthony, Flemming, Hannibal. That's probably been he side when we've had our best run. It's also been a quiet window because the team generally doesn't need that much at this moment. We've got cover at right back, and cover in CM and short term 3rd choice cover at striker. If we are able to add genuine quality wide man and perhaps a striker too then we've certainly had a good window.

Really poor display from the ref. The FA needs to do something drastic if he is the standard of ref in this country (even in the second tier). No foul on Cirken despite him making no attempt to play the ball and just taking Anthony out early in the game. No booking for Cirken for cynical pull down o...

I think we will see a lot more of Foster from the left this season but I don't think Parker will start like that tonight. I think he's likely too risk adverse. My guess is that it will be Koleosho for his energy and then Foster for the last 20mins.

Shelvey would be a decent (and presumably cheap) back up to Cullen. Not going to be big signing but not a poor one either provided it allows us to spend elsewhere. We really need to add some quality to our wide positions.
