Re: ARTICLE:Clarets bring in Kyle Walker from Manchester City
The fastest wingers in the league will have him on toast but because he's such a a big name I think a false level of expectation will be unhelpful. He'll be ok I think but I wouldn't expect too much. It's not going to surprise me that some goals will be conceded without having pace to cover or inte...

A signing that shows we have learned our lessons from the debacle of the VK Premier League season.
Well done AP and the board and thanks SP for making it happen.
What an exciting time to be a Claret.

Re: Live Aid - 40 years this month
He was a nine-year-old and had been murdered on the Thursday, two days before Live Aid. The police had no real leads and I was interviewed (grilled) by them simply because of the car I had at the time. It wasn’t a pleasant experience either. DNA found the murderer in 2009 although he had died in 19...

My grandad was buried alive by an exploding shell in one of the big First World War battles. About 20 years ago after inheriting his three medals, I took them to a shop in Accy to have new ribbons put on them. The proprietor was immediately interested and said did I know grandad had served in both t...

I remember it well but sadly for the wrong reasons. At the time, I was a young cop working an early shift and looking forward to finishing at 3pm to go home and watch all the action on television. Shortly before I was due to finish, we were told we were all being kept on duty as a young Indian lad h...

Think this is a decent signing.
I also thought the interviewer didn’t distinguish herself and came across as amateurish.
Seems a decent enough lass. Shame the club can’t give her a bit of training, especially as she’s not new to the job, and we are back in the big time.

With our two new signings and our four signed at the end of the season, the squad is already starting to look far more balanced than the squad VK had for our PL season.

He deserves to go for his mishandling of their promotion charge, but all this talk in the media that has been going on for 2 weeks now, just show that the owners are as incompetent as he is. I'm not discounting it. But if you are a "professional" at anything you have to be able to justify what you are professional at in terms of income created. This is the crux of it for me. Can the finance generated from ladies football justify the investment in it? Not misogynistic to say that. Why s...

I hate music or other noise being imposed on me.
For me,it’s the equivalent to goal music or music played upto kick off, at half time and full time while watching footy.
Prime example of that was the music at Wembley yesterday during and after the play off final. So intrusive and unnecessary.
