Re: We’re going up - keep the faith

Lots of toys out of the pram on all platforms tonight. 7 from 9 over Christmas against Watford, Sheff U and Boro is fantastic. We’ll go up, we’ll make additions on January. Stop the moaning about Parker, did he make Brownhill miss from 6 yards? Well in the mix, one of the best defences in football ...

Re: Substitutions

I was pleased Sarmiento was brought on as it felt like a bit of magic was needed at the time. I’m sure there would be moans by people if he hadn’t come on, along the lines of ‘he’s got Sarmiento on the bench, a match winner, why not bring him on????’ Anthony was playing well, you don’t take Brownhi...

4 points

I bet most of us would have taken 4 points from playing Sheffield United and Middlesborough away.

Now let's do Stoke.

Came for the draw in the end. We tried, but not hard, then have sat back. Attacking subs are just to keep Boro back.
Boro looked the team who came for the draw. But 4 points from 2 games.

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread

We need the high press we have seen lately. At the moment it’s off a little. We are jogging with the press, but that might be on purpose. Save energy, knowing they don't do much with the ball even when they do get it into midfield. I feel we can go up more gears and have better options than they do.

I seem to recall, that contrary to all logic, there were a good number on here who were celebrating when Leeds failed to win promotion last season. It seemed crazy to me at the time, and nothing that's happened this season has made it less so. Would Ipswich really have over 50 points at this stage ...
