Re: Everton v Leeds
Had Surgery on his knee (ITB) and was out for months end of last season, not sure if he's done a full pre-season or not.

Re: Everton v Leeds
Didn't we take the game to Spurs at times by creating a few good chances? We did - My 1st post also said this, I just don't think we do it consistently enough across a full 90mins (last season included). and to another posters comments, I also agree that out of the 3 promoted teams, we clearly had ...

Re: Everton v Leeds
When I checked the stats after 85 minutes, Leeds had had 1 shot on target. [/quote] Yep agree with your point, for all their work on and off the ball they offered very little but against the likes of Everton who you look poor they certainly took the game to them and at times Everton just couldn't co...

Re: Everton v Leeds
Just an Observation, Leeds played with a real intensity on and off the ball, they were snappy into challenges, looked hungry to win the ball, brave in the press and really caused Everton some issues, for long spells Everton were unable to get out of their own half and looked shell shocked at times. ...

Re: What do we need
Feel we need a Right sided CB that has a strong physical presence in the air, and who has a change of pace when needed. Think we saw on Saturday that Ekdal is too slow in his recovery, Walker had Aaronson pace matched when out wide but Ekdal's pace was exposed centrally for his goal. He also lost hi...

Re: Summer transfer window
Scrafton basically said it as a ‘Burnley express believes’ type of thing, probably from one of his sources. Parker said in his post match, that there are areas we need to strengthen and will see what can be done, no mention of specific numbers but from that it looks like he wants a few more bodies.

Re: THE SUPER CLARETS vs Lazio ~ Match Thread
You’ve not read or understood my post correctly. Hannibal was weak in the first challenge and then late to the second challenge which is why he made what was actually a poor foul that hurt the Lazio lad. At no point have I wholly blamed Hannibal. In fact, I made it pretty clear it was Ekdal’s fault...

Re: THE SUPER CLARETS vs Lazio ~ Match Thread
Because at no point was Hannibal’s instinct to protect the ball or defend the situation created by a poor pass. The whole thing was created by Ekdal’s poor pass but Hannibal was weak and didn’t try and save the situation created by Ekdal. So because Ekdal played a poor pass to Hannibal (who wasn't ...

Re: THE SUPER CLARETS vs Lazio ~ Match Thread
Terrible play from us, that. Ekdal and Hannibal culpable. How can you say Hannibal culpable, it was an uncharacteristically shocking pass by Ekdal sold Hannibal short, then Ekdal showed his lack of reaction and speed to get back and blatantly pushed the lazio player. I think that passage of play hi...

Re: Cricket field stand
Is it because they expect that most fans will stand where they want anyways? If the seating is mirrored, people will just congregate with the groups they did previously. I get your frustration, it's a similar situation with a friend and I, but we'll just stand together as we always did on the previ...

Re: Cricket field stand
It could happen though, the plans for the two sides aren't identical, there will undoubtedly be some supporters affected in this way. Lots of things Could happen, in the extreme, you COULD die tomorrow, are you sat worrying about how that's going to happen. There's no point worrying and stressing y...

Re: Cricket field stand
For the majority no I agree. But they’ll be a few who need the seats they chose years ago for numerous reasons. Myself being one. The communication has been pathetic. I totally agree that the comms hasn't bee good enough and the club could have done a lot more for their fans. I hope for you and eve...

Re: Cricket field stand
As a Season Ticket holder in the Cricket field stand for a number of years - I too am disappointed at the lack of converse between the club and the fans affected by these changes. But I also feel that the response on here has been somewhat over the top. Yes we should have been consulted way before n...

Re: Summer transfer window
Well if he has agreed terms with Newcastle, it would suggest that he does want to go to Newcastle. If he wants to go to Newcastle, he wants to leave Burnley. Yep. Its a comment that's kind of a given, taken from the fact that Traff and his agent have agreed personal terms. No Traff hasn't outwardly...

Re: Summer transfer window
Perhaps not, but I think it's very telling that he didn't get another look in after giving away that penalty against Sunderland. He did well in the cup against Reading, but for me, he doesn't look capable of performing to the level we require. Add to that, he was woeful at Preston (but saying that,...

Re: Summer transfer window
How can you say you wouldn’t see another striker as a priority ? It was a priority last season in a poor league but fortunately our defence and midfield performed miracles. We need 2 strikers let alone one and I think that we will be prioritising this but it’s traditionally the most difficult posit...

I am in love I can't deny I'm in love with the Burnley number five He is the best I've ever seen His first name is Maxime and his second name is STEEEEEVE Sang it for Harwood-Bellis at Birmingham away (different last line obviously) and it sounded great. There were a group of lads that tried to get...

Re: The Run In - Jeopardy
We need to get at least level on points with Sheff U before we play them then a draw and win our last game will do the trick We don’t want to be in a position where we have to beat them otherwise the will simply shut up shop and kill the game This 100% The sooner we can draw level on points or go i...

3 points is job done tonight! Yes negative subs, some poor performances and must improve for Saturday but Cardiff a difficult place to go, with them fighting relegation, but 2 points off 2nd and 5 from top spot I'll take any 3 points, however we get them

Re: Papering over the cracks
Game of 2 halves really - we absolutely battered Oxford in the 1st half and as many said should have been out of sight at half time, a kin to the Plymouth game. 2nd half was more frustrating to watch, the miss placed passes and poor decision making did make it painful to watch at times. But that sai...

Re: The morning after the night before!
Don't think the squad needed much recruitment, with some of the injured players getting back and onto the grass. I think its the system and how the team are being asked to play is the problem and stifles creativity in order to prevent conceding goals. Some of our most creative players, I think have ...

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Interesting if we are leading the race and he plays, does he try and make a good impression on the club and fans he wants to join and risk costing us points in our promotion chase that he could soon be part of? Or just go through the motions and have fans from BFC saying don't bother signing him? W...

Re: Tresor
But these are the games we have to win. It appears that Parker is happy with 0-0 at home (and Tresor is not the man for grinding out a 0-0), so we have to win the away games. It's not the time for experiments. No it's not time for experiments but I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that when...

He could be out of the squad tonight due to being close to signing for Boro or Birmingham, everybody is presuming it means we've got him Sorry, Yes wasn't just meaning we are the only ones in the race, just meant that unless there is a deal close (with any team involved) he plays. A team like Plymo...

Re: Tresor
Tresor is simply a luxury player, and from what we have seen throughout football, is that these types of players drift in and out of games, don't offer much defensively and need bodies around them that will do the hard graft so they don't have to, but have the ability to create something out of noth...

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Ah okay, with you saying 100% I thought their was news. BBC are a decent source, no? I’ll be surprised if he plays tonight regardless of transfer status. Not in Plymouth’s interests on many levels, particularly if he was as lazy as reported last game. They’ll need 11 men working hard tonight. There...
