Re: Song for Ugochukwu

Jimmy Robbo on the transfer thread suggested something to the tune of Alvin Stardust’s ‘My Coo Ca Choo’.

Not the best attempt by me, but I think the tune fits.

Big…Les…Ugochukwu.

We’re seen as a decent proposition for hungry young players, which can only be a good thing.

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.

Surely, somebody far more talented than me will have linked it to Alvin Stardust? Perhaps even in a Steve way for Esteve. Assume we're just awaiting the PR faculty if DO has announced it. He got huge coverage on Moroccan social media, when he made their squad. Many thousands suddenly subscribed to him. I wonder if that turned his head?
I remember seeing reports that his attitude had changed, become poor.

Re: Zaroury

Agree with the above post, he never quite hit the heights of that first half-season after the weird World Cup break.

Looked like he was going to have the world at his feet; but, for whatever reason, things fell off.

I still love him, mind.

Re: Who will be this years Egan Riley?

I think we have a few players who have had a confidence knock, such as Foster and Koleosho, who could come good under the right circumstances. Might be a slice of luck in a game, a chance they take that pays off, but I maintain there’s potential there.

If he can avoid injuries, I’m hoping Ekdal will show how good he is. He seems to be well in Scott’s plans.

Re: Is everyone looking forward to the season ?

I’m in Ireland, the Spurs and Utd away games are going to be televised - so that’s great for me.

We’re not going to pull up any trees, we’re likely going to be a dull side to watch, but I think we’ll give it a better go than last-time.

Re: Stoke away friendly

Can’t read too much into the game. We looked alright, then the ref started his shenanigans. Poor goal conceded, ref continued his nonsense. We didn’t help ourselves.

Didn’t really tell us anything we weren’t already aware of, the Lazio game will likely be more of a preview.

Still, good practice for raging at the competency of the officials in the upcoming season (I suppose).

There were 2 x 90 sec or so stoppages for injuries and 2 min for a bout of pushing and shoving and he blew up on 44 min 56 sec!
It must be his first day, he’s been all over the place.
