Watching ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ as an adult is a different experience as watching it as a kid. It’s an extraordinary performance by Routledge, so well performed and a lot more physically demanding than I remembered.

His unscheduled appearance at his own sacking press conference was the perfect end for his reign.
That said, good luck to him. My mother is from Cheltenham, so I have a soft spot for them.

They were great, yes, but I’d rather have had their opening fixtures than our’s. I know we all have to play each other home and away, but momentum is vital. We managed to beat them.
That said, I can’t see Sunderland being anywhere near a relegation scrap.

Won 26% of his Premier League games at Brighton. He’s always been a bit of a myth. Talks a good game and a lot of prominent journalists got engaged in his backstory and overpraised him. He’s just not very good at winning football matches. Really? How very odd. He’ll no doubt get another Prem job co...

Don't tell me. You went on Youtube to watch a few goals and suddenly, after a few 'related' clicks later, find yourself mouthing the correct pronunciation to segue. Someone admitted on Bluesky, embarrassed, that they said it in a meeting and then found out afterwards it wasn’t ‘seeg’ but ‘seg-way’ ...

Something changed after the World Cup, whether rumours about his attitude changing were true or not, I don’t know. I do suspect many felt betrayed when dropped for our Prem return, and they probably had some right to.
Good luck to him though, he was incredible for us for a while there.

Re: Rovers v Ipswich... What Should Happen?
It had to be a full replay though, didn’t it? You can’t recreate the physical exertion of 80 minutes, on a bog of a pitch, in the ******* rain and just play the remaining time. Is it unfair? Possibly, but a Champ side should not have pitch issues like that. Is it hilarious? Undoubtedly, but it’s the...

Look at any modern, successful, club and LEDs feature heavily outside and in. More than a shade of the cup defeat to Preston, a bunch of players thrown together who looked hopelessly out of depth. I know they will have trained together for the game, but there we are. The replayed game for us was in the FA Cup, the winner would play Liverpool. Would have been 1996, I think, with us playing Liverpool in Jan 1997.
