I feel sorry we have got into this situation where he needs to go out on loan to play. He is a player I always enjoy watching, even though he can be frustrating at times.

Re: Bobby Seith news

I was only young at the time, but I can still picture him as a good player bringing the ball out of defence and through midfield.

Re: ARTICLE: Trafford rejoins Manchester City

Sounds like a very decent lad and I hope he goes on to have the career he deserves. I am glad that part of the journey has been with us.

Re: ARTICLE: Our greatest goalscorer Willie Irvine dies

One of my favourite players from that great team in the 60’s. I met him briefly in later years and what a lovely man he seemed. The book he wrote with Dave Thomas is one of my most enjoyable Burnley books.

Re: Oldest Living England International

I remember Colin as a very good safe goalkeeper. I don’t remember him ever dropping the ball and he didn’t have the special gloves that goalkeepers have today.

Re: A year ago today

I was quite happy and thought he would be ok, but he has been better than that, much better. Gaining promotion after relegation is something many other relegated clubs have failed to achieve.
