I think the only country to have benefitted from the Euro is Germany and as said above the currency would become a second strong Deutsche Mark if the Southern European nations left the currency union and this of course would slow down the German export business and be bad for the Germans

Villa away and about the only time we beat them away was in 1962 and look at the results after that. No coincidence that they had been relegated in 1959 before we won the League in 1960. Before 1962 P12 W1 D2 L9 at Villa Park. :( :(

The 22 are the present squad minus one of the 4 keepers we have and minus Arfield and Marney. Am I correct in assuming we can only sign 3 players for our squad of 25 unless there are outgoings from the 22 (naming 3 keepers ) who will be in the 25 if they stay?
I think one of our problems is the quality of the players we have who are under 21.

I always found it strange that he came here under Eddie Howe at a time when we were having to reduce our wage bill having just finished our first year of parachute payments from Derby who I would have thought had more largesse than us and then left when we had the first season with parachute payment...

Hendrick, Mee and Vokes are all very possible if new contracts not offered or signed as their stay is over next year.Walters and Bardsley came on 2 year deals and will likely stay. The club have an option on Ward to 2020 so he will stay. Anderson, Chris Long, Ginnelly and a few from the development ...
