Re: ARTICLE: First Turf Moor floodlights switched on

In a dim, dark corner of my mind there is something that tells me that the floodlights were second-hand and bought from the army - Aldershot maybe? That match was the one and only time my younger brother went on t'Turf. After seeing the lights he wanted to go home and spent the entire match sulking...

To be honest I'm sick and tired of the exposure Leeds get. It's the third time this season. A good reason for thinking about cancelling my Sky subscription. Come on Sky there's 23 other teams in the Championship. Are Salford actually behind Leeds in the exposure they are getting from Sky? Already b...

The suggestion that we were pants for the first part of the season due to the idea of rotating squad players is nonsense I didn't suggest that it was due to that - I was merely pointing out that when we did go in for squad rotation we didn't do very well. We were changing names, changing systems, e...

I'm not saying either of them should be dropped, but it's never made sense to me that just because you win the same team must play the next match regardless of the opposition. I know SD likes continuity (and we're only on game 2!), but occasionally a bit more rotation during the season might be goo...

I mean the Beehole was extended in 1970, not when the photo was taken. Bee Hole extension was slightly earlier than that. Lot of clues there - it's the old cricket ground without the car park on one side and no sign of the new pavilion but the date of the pic has to be after the floodlights were er...

Great pic of Ralphy, all about blood, sweat and tears and how he always gave his last ounce of effort in every game. My understanding is this, not saying it is correct though.
