Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome

A clear view of the current transfer situation for the Premier League. When you look at the transfers completed, it's evident that there is very limited action.

Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome

Regarding King (or any other player out of contract at the end of the season), it doesn't matter what Bournemouth want (£10M/£20M etc) or what any bidding team will pay. He holds all the cards. He can hold out for the team that he wants (or values him salary wise, with his view of his own worth). Bo...

There is a software product by Nuance called Dragon. It was used quite widely in a major bank I was working for, primarily for their visually impaired staff. There is likely to be other similar products out there.

Re: Penalty?

What exactly is the rule re a penalty eg when it can or cannot be given ? 1, if the ball had been placed by the corner flag and the ref had blown but the ball had not been kicked. Is it in play ? 2, if a player commits a foul tackle near the dead ball line inside the penalty but the ball goes over ...

Re: Penalty?

For clarity:

1. A penalty (or indeed a free kick) cannot be given if the ball is not in play. For example, awaiting a throw in, free kick or goal kick etc.
2. A red card can be given at any time, even if the ball is not in play.

It's always been the case.

Loved watching that team.We played lovely flowing football and we got results. Some real class players in there ! I think at least 4 of that team - Casper, Dobson, Fletcher and James - would be first choice in our current team. With Thomas as well of course. Honorable mentions to Stevenson and Newton.

Remember him playing in the FA Cup Final in '83 against Man Utd. for Brighton. They should have won that game too and the glaring 'miss' near the end became immortalised in the fanzine title.'And Smith must score'.

This happens at most clubs. As does the players committee, this takes the onus off the manager of bias for or against an individual.
