Re: Serious Discussion: Squad/Recruitment for Next Season

What is clear to me is that whoever comes in has to have pace. We are lacking this in spades at the moment which I think is one reason why we score so few goals, rarely do we break out fast and put the ball in the opposition's net.By the time we get into the opposition's box they have six or seven b...

Re: Name every English league champions

At the risk of being accused of pedantry, Watford Gap ( The Service station on the M1, in Northants ) is named for the tiny village near it, and is actually about 65 miles north of Watford ( Home of Sir Elton's favorite Club ) .....Ipswich is south of Watford Gap .... Blimey start at Pope and finish at Wood-none played at their best. Pope's kicking remains poor Tarks was poor, Woods and Barnes got nothing in the air. Re: ARTICLE: End of an era as Marney departs

He and Wallace did accept lesser contracts while others opted not to. Says a lot about them. I assume the bonus for getting back up and the last 2 years have more than compensated for that initial cut in salary. That being so Chris McCann and Martin Paterson would have lost out. The grass may look ...

I also think that, along with Ross Wallace, he signed a contract at the end of 12-13 season with less remuneration than his original contract. I think it was also that season that Paterson turned down such a contract. A good example of short term sacrifice for long term gain, I assume. Great servant...
