Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
In contrast to CP, I'm not "uneasy" about a takeover by ALK. At this stage the only person that we know identified with ALK is Alan Pace - and we know that he has been an investment banker, plus his link to Salt Lake City. I agree that we don't yet know where the money will come from. I make no dis...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Why does it matter if the owner is local or not? isn’t Garlick from London? I wouldn’t call that local. Do you think the Leicester fans cared where their owner was born? an incredible man who the fans at Leicester adored for his work. It doesn't, I didn't say that. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha seemed a...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Only would Burnley fans, root for the consortium who are rumoured to be looking to spend much less and look closer to our business model which is spending as little as we can possible get away with! I've noticed it's the exact same people who have had their head in the sand when it comes to realisi...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
I read a post on here earlier that someone would stop supporting the club after 40 years if this takeover goes through, alluding to the point that we have never had investment. I dont have time to go back through the posts yet to find it but for one I'm not sure how Barry Kilby would feel about tha...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Yes, sorry missed that bit.
Obviously, both of them don't have 2 h'apennies to rub together.
Which was supposed to be my point, people are happy with ALK because Alan Pace sounds better than Al-Keshany. In reality, both are fronts, nobody can be comfortable being taken over by anonymous investors.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
6. Most seem to prefer ALK given their associated role with player talent identification and previous apparent success in football in America. 7. I think it was ALK who were mooted as a significant investment including in the local economy and had met local council members to discuss investment (co...

Re: ALK Capital...
Initial thoughts, a real businessman, with money. Encouraged compared to the empty shell of ALK. After a bit of reading here, now see that we have a questionable lawyer who seems to have a fetish for being front and centre of leading a takeover of a football club. What is his obsession ? commission ...

Re: ALK Capital...
Nah, not for me thanks. Months of people on here moaning about aspirations, were doing as well as we have ever done. Mega investment or not were good for mid-table, history shows that's who we are with a bit of up and down. International (sorry US) investors are bad news, the US and EVERY SINGLE cor...

No mention yet of Watling Street, Dartford.
I remember we played Maidstone there in the fourth division (can't tick off my list, as didn't get in and seem to recall drinking warm cans on a grass banking across road)

Re: ARTICLE: If goals start not being given for that we’re in trouble
Of course the main problem with this and most other contentious issues is the cheating. Jonny Evans didn't know where to look in his interview on MOTD. He knew he had cheated. I like the idea of VAR, but the idiots are merely toeing the line, contact was made therefore a foul. We all know that playe...

Hi Dave, According to Wikipedia, is it right that you qualified for the CAF Champions league in 1997 ? I hope you are successful this year. P.S. I like the white, sky blue and yellow kit the coach is wearing ( https://www.facebook.com/Faucon-Flacq-SC-Football-commission-1403893499625272/" onclick="w...
