My wife and I have sadly decided not to travel up to the game from Kent (despite having tickets). We're not particularly Covid anxious, but numbers are rising so sharply that we're not prepared to risk having Christmas ruined for the sake of a football match. The flower pot option seems the best as even if you don’t use it as a fireplace and you leave it open, fresh air will help ventilation in the house.

Despite the sensible policy of stopping drafts an air tight house is no good either.
