Re: REPORT: Burnley shot down by the Gunners
As much as I’m fed up with it, I am now planning to go to Chelsea with my Dad. My Dad is 75 and I’m 50 and we were talking earlier and saying that we missed the day out together. It’s far more important than the result so I get your comment on Palace. The last game was Millwall last season so finge...

Time to give Dan Lawrence a go instead of Bairstow? Can turn his arm over and help the bowlers out a bit as well.

Not for me. Obviously we're in financial trouble if we don't go up but it's much more fun in the Championship. No VAR, more local derbies, much better away days, what's not to like. Get rid of all the plastics on the Turf as well who are only there to see City/Liverpool etc.

I'd start him ahead of Amdouni at the moment. Purely for a bit of presence, experience, 100% effort. It's a damning indictment of how bad we've been but that's where we are.

Jay Rod going in for a few 50/50s was probably the highlight of our game today. I'd honestly pick him on that basis alone ahead of some of the others at present.

Obviously hope he's ok, but it might work out better for both parties to say he's stepping aside for health reasons, rather than Palace having to sack him, which looked imminent.

The way some parents behave is an absolute embarrassment, treating kids football as though it's the World cup final.
Is it right that at academy level parents are banned from watching, or have I imagined that?

He stepped in last season and kept them up. Could have walked away a hero then. Was a backwards step by Palace to give him the job but Hodgson should have had the sense to leave on a high and enjoy his retirement.

It probably makes sense for Alonso to leave this summer. Any club that dares to compete with Bayern generally loses their best player or two to them. If he could win the league and the Europa would be perfect time to go.

I’d bet that Amdouni has already got more goals for his country and in the UEFA cups than Tella will have over his whole career.
