Agree about the left back position being a priority, but it’s not part of the spine…hence the thread.

It’s an interesting one… Yellow cards… I have absolutely no issue in players ‘taking one (yellow) for the team,’ but what I do have an issue with is petulantly getting booked within the first 10 to 15 minutes of the game for deliberately kicking the ball away or for deliberately heading the ball out...

Our discipline has been pretty poor this season. Under Dyche we had six premier league red cards throughout his tenure and we’re talking games into the hundreds. This is definitely an area we should look to improve in

Re: What's happened to the roof?
Before matches, I’m sure that the ground safety officer and team are obliged to carry out safety checks. Surely, surely, surely one of the very first things you do is to look up? If that was there before the game kicked off, that is negligent in my opinion. Of course, it could have come loose at any...

The positivity is infectious. The fact that Andrew had to take the day off to sellotape (and stickyback) his salvaged wall chart, is something that ought to be taken very seriously.

Re: I’m running the London Marathon for Blood Cancer UK - sponsors much appreciated
That seems quite a way off (I’d be genuinely happy with sub 3:30) but I won’t say never. Used to think that a sub 90 minute half wasn’t achievable but in Stafford last March, I chose to run at the front with the club runners and I managed a 1:26:52.
Thank you!!

Re: FAO Skipton Clarets (Thursday 25th April, West Yorkshire Clarets)
Thanks guys,
I contacted The Beer Engine this morning and they are reserving the new room for us. I told them to expect 12-16 of us (approx) and they said they’d accommodate.
Would be lovely to meet you and happy to move on elsewhere later if it suits.

Re: FAO Skipton Clarets (on behalf of West Yorkshire Clarets)
Cononley is likely off due to the pub having a quiz night and we’ve been told that space to sit would be difficult. We are very likely to hold our meet up in Skipton, somewhere near the centre and accessible from the station. If anyone would like to recommend a real ale pub or better still, if you w...

Truro City - fixture congestion and ground (pitch) problems
I’m struggling to keep up with it, but from what I can gather, Truro have: Played 34 of their 46 games Most other sides have played 40 or 41 matches. They have to play ALL of their remaining games in a 25 day period, finishing 20th April. Looks like they’ll be playing Saturday-Tuesday-Thursday-Satur...

Won’t harm you at this stage, might even do you good. Just remember even mile splits once you actually get to running. That’s a lot of people going through them narrow gates. 36km clocked today. The last few hurt but I feel okay. Thanks for all the support. FOUR WEEKS TO GO… IMG_4689.jpeg IMG_4687....

I was lucky to see Burnley play in the 4th, 3rd and 2nd division, in the first few years in which I supported the club. One title win, one play off final victory, one relegation…it was a good introduction to the club I love.
