Re: Message Board loading very slowly

For me, when you go to BeeHoleEnd home page, there is a short delay (few seconds) whilst some ads load. During that time, you cant scroll the screen down to get to the latest posts or click on any item (so basically a freeze). It's not all ads by any means & only lasts a second or two but slightly a...

Re: May's EU speech

I've been having a quick scan of the German online press, especially sites which allow readers' comments (which I know aren't representative) As an example Die Welt (linked), in the Kommentare (comments) at the foot, if you look at Beliebteste (most popular); you see the highest ones saying things l...

Re: Message Board loading very slowly

Yep- Ive had a "delay" problem over the past week or so- solely on the "Bee Hole End" home page. Just sticks for c 5 seconds or so whilst the header ad loads. I have v fast broadband and newish, decent spec, PC so I don't think its a problem at my end. It doesn't seem to be all the ads that have thi...

Re: Any Gerry Rafferty fans on here?

City to City is a memorable album, I still play it occasionally (probably put it on shortly with this reminder).
There were always a lot of rumours about him being a recluse/in hiding/on the verge of death (from drinking) in his later years- before he actually passed away.

"That could be applied to ABC's opinions of the team, the formation and/or the lineup."
The ambiguity (for the last two) was intended. I didnt try hard enough to also get a "shandy" reference in there.

No good- he can't decide whether he's on the right or the left and just farts around somewhere in between.

I've just been doing a job round the corner and have a load of spare tarmac due to unforeseen circumstances. I can undercut RocketLawnChair. Yours for £220 cash. Can even run you down to the cash machine to get the readies even.

Re: Last day fixtures (21 May)

Interesting to see that 2015/6 20-game league and compare it to the current (post Spurs v Chelsea) equivalent. The top 6 this year have 257 points against top 6 of 224 last year. Consequently the rest of the teams below that are squeezed and overall on relatively fewer points this year. Going backwa...

Re: Andre Gray to West Ham for £10m?

"If west ham want him an offer silly wages then gray will kick up a fuss to go he strikes me as that type of person. £10 million would be a good deal but I'd try doubling it an see if they'll pay it" I hope that's a wind-up? You have made a huge assumption about Gray's integrity + £10million would n...

Re: Sheffield United FA Cup 1993 (crush)

I just watched that clip from the game linked above. Those two tackles before the bit of argy-bargy - would be a red for one of those now but not even a free kick for either of them in those times. At least the recipients of the lunges just got up and got on with it though rather than roll around pu...

Re: Burnley Grammar School/Habergham High School

On a previous thread last year there was a lot of negative stuff about Mel Saunders. I was there 61-68, didnt have any issues with him. He was OK when he took sport; he wasn't a great maths teacher (seemed to be learning as he went) but maths was my strong suit so never got into any aggro with him. ...

Re: A Warm Welcome to the Bee Hole End - a new online home for Burnley fans!

Thanks to those concerned for instigating/working to set up this new site. I wasn't a big poster on CM but a fairly frequent (though with diminishing regularity) reader. Like quite a few, I've taken the opportunity to change my username. I'm looking forward to rejuvenated debates/experience sharing....
