Sad news, he was an excellent full back who I watched regularly in the mid-1960s at Fulham. A one-club man and World Cup winner.

Quite a contrast to the first Test with the number of runs scored, however, this is another proper Test match and a great watch.

THank you very much to the Pakistani commentator who was just singing the praises of Saud Shakeel for what he had done in two test matches but managed to put the curse on his batting partner Imam who was out as they spoke.
We needed that fourth wicket after they had put on 108 for the fourth wicket.

Smashing test match this has turned out to be. Ollie Robinson turning things back our way and was unlucky with one that hit the stumps at speed and the bails did not move! Talk about luck.

He should say that it is a local expression which we use as a term of endearment when referring to our neighbours along the M65. Everyone in the local area, including our neighbours, are aware of the expression and know to whom it refers.

The behaviour of the French official was very questionable throughout the match and the hissy fit at the end was an absolute disgrace. Perhaps he had a bet on his team winning and we cost him a fortune.

They stopped doing them four or five seasons ago because they had sold so many season tickets at the start of the season. INdia progressed from 62 for 2 after 10 overs to 168 for 6 ----over 10 runs per over in the second half of the innings.
We need to apply ourselves without being silly with shots as we were in the last match. 8.45 per over is not beyond us.

It was a good, tight, game with Samoa just edging it.
Very hard fought and no quarter asked. Samoa now meet England in the semi-final next Saturday.

Have also been watching the wheelchair games ----absolutely brilliant and also not for the faint hearted.

We have played 64 matches at Bramall Lane and won just 6 so no surprise in suffering our 39th defeat today ----always been one of those grounds!
We have played them 65 times at the Turf and they have won just 14 and will be due their 39th defeat in the return fixture later in the season.

HIstorically this is one of our 'bogey' grounds. A win in 1973 and another in 2008 are the only two victories in 21 visits in the last 50 years. MInd you, they are lucky today because I am not there, having witnessed 20 defeats at Bramall Lane over the last 60 years! Come on you Clarets!

Well, England doing things the Burnley way in making everybody sweat when it should have been easy after the start we had. After 11 overs they were 85 for 3 and struggled to get another 56 runs from 9 overs. After 11 overs we were 93 for 3 and struggled to get another 51 runs from 52 balls but.........

Sri Lanka looked on target for a very big score after the Power Play.
When de Silva was out in the 9th over they were 72 for 2, however, we have dragged them back and they have only scored 64 in the next 10 overs.
