Amazingly we're worse off defensively without an England international level center back. :o :o We're not going to buy Walker, Cahill, Rose or Stones so people better get used to it and allow Tarks or any signing (who too will not be an England international defender) time to bed in and improve. Vokes may find it tricky tomorrow.
Their back four are all pretty much of equal or greater height.
All the more need to be set piece savvy.

Would much prefer Dawson but I think we've seen the writing on the wall and put our efforts elsewhere. I'm disappointed that Gray is so keen to make such a sideways move. I could understand West Ham or Brom, a perennial mid table side. But Watford who finished beneath us and always seem to have an air of chaos as they change managers annually.
Makes me think it could be for the money which is sad.

Personally I would much rather have Dawson.
Two years younger, hasn't had a major back injury and scores goals. 8 in the last two seasons.
Already scored for WBA this pre-season and would increase our attacking threat in set pieces hugely. Get some Brady corners and FKs onto that lad.

Leonardo also sketched flying machines.
Flight was an idea and implemented long before heavier than air flying machines. Hot air balloons, gliders etc.
The first parachutes were tested off tall buildings too such as the Eiffel tower. Which sadly failed, a famous early film clip exists.

In today's market It will be easy to break our record transfer (13m Brady).
We'll get £19m in for Keane after United take their cut and before the reported 5m in potential add ons. I can't see us spending that much on a single player, we'll be strengthening the squad not looking for headline names.
