Re: We are a championship side

Huddersfield had half a team missing They were on the bench and could be brought on to change the game, with no second forward we were there for the taking second half. You could see that within 60 seconds of the restart. All we could do was scramble a massively disjointed starting 11 together with...

Re: We are a championship side

That may be the case, but this thread is in response to today's result and there are a lot of reactionary responses on that basis. We've had seasons with a far higher percentage of poor performances, no doubt today was poor but you can't ignore the context of the immediate challenges given today's a...

Re: We are a championship side

The balance of the side would have been completely different, you can only have so many square pegs in round holes. We had a right back and a central midfielder on our left side today and one striker in the squad. No doubt the squad needs a refresh, but let's not be too knee jerk after today, given ...

Re: Time for the old reliables to be dropped?

It wasn’t this that lost us the game. It was the fact that Huddersfield brought on four first team players and for the umpteenth time this season, we had no answer. Another game lost from a winning position because another team changes things up and we cannot adapt. We were struggling from the star...

As frustrating as Wood is at times, if he had stayed on the pitch today or we had any recognised striker to replace him with there was only one winner and it wasn't Huddersfield.

It was Spurs who got away with the clear pen

I didn't see that - but missed 10 mins of the first half.
Thought the Salah handball was very fortunate also.

Would prefer Liverpool to win to make the title race more interesting.

The team of officials have been equally poor for both sides.

Not sure how the penalty was allowed to stand, nor why Moss gave it in the first instance - I'm pretty sure the linesman flag stayed down and he was far better positioned.
