Re: Harry kane
I do think Harry Kane is fit to be mentioned in the same breath. And there is a good argument that Shearer and Owen played in better teams. Scholes/Gerrard/Lampard vs Ali/Sterling for example. I didn't watch the game, and didn't even care I was going to miss it. It has nothing to do with the players...

Re: Tarkowski doubters and humble pie
I hoped Tarkowski would be good enough, and at the end of last season believed he would. However towards the end of summer I was panicking at not signing another CH as I didn't actually know he would be. Truth is, he IS good enough... though would still have been nice to get another on board, but no...

Re: Succession Planning & Dyche's Own Future Plans
I'm sure a new defender is something that is already being looked at. They have to be available, willing and capable and I imagine finding a player with all three of those things is very difficult. As for essentially not being bothered, I can't see this being the case at all. He's already built a le...

Re: Is Sean Dyche a Top 4 Manager??
Not yet, but he can be. A club, possibly fans more-so than players would have to 'buy-in' to what he says. He used the 'buy-in to what we are about' thing quite a lot when he started with us, and after a slow start, we did, wholeheartedly. I'm not convinced many of the top 4 clubs would, the only on...

Re: Dyche thinks we are a couple short
What I can't understand is how and why we seem to have the same problem every year. The window opens. We put low bids in, complain that transfer fees are ridiculous and say we are priced out. Then come the end of the window we are putting bids of around the same amount we said were too much, and com...

Re: Parents withdrawing children from school debate
I can't say I understand it... I don't have an issue with a boy being like a girl, whatever that would mean, or visa-versa - which I'm pretty sure was just called a Tom-boy. But to pretend there is no such thing as boy or girl I find bizarre. At any age. Like I say, I don't understand, but if a boy ...

Re: This Tarky is Keane's replacement nonsense
I must admit I thought Tarkowski was signed to take the place of Keane when he was to leave, unless he could get in the team ahead of Keane or Mee beforehand. Just in the same way Ings was signed to eventually take the place of Jay-Rod or Austin. Assumed it was the way we operated and didn't mind it...

Re: "Tarkowski brilliant again!"
Keane was great for us, obviously, but in his first season he was also the player involved when we conceded so many over that Christmas period (14/15 season) and was dropped in favour of Duff. A full season in the Championship turned him into the player he became IMO Tarkowski has the potential to b...

Re: Robbie Brady.
I do agree that Dyche's main concern is the work ethic and not the attacking intent. However, I also believe this isn't by choice, more out of necessity. If he goes for attack and it fails and the defence isn't in the habit of working hard, we lose. If he goes for defence, or 'framework' which seems...

It still not a ridiculous thing to say. If we want a player vs another club who WANT a player, chances are they would win a bidding war. We do offer some things more than financial benefit though - like the work ethic and fact some many players in recent years have improved so much so with us they a...

Could very well be Dyche's Owen Coyle moment if he goes to Palace. How? If fans haven't learnt to deal with a manager leaving by now they never will. Benteke or Barnes? Brady or Zaha? You get my point. The only questions would be for Dyche to know if he has the same start he had at Burnley, would h...

He'll always be remembered as a hero to me.
Not just the goal against them, but against Leeds 2014.
My lad's first game, and many a time Scotty would pop up with a winner or late equaliser when he went on.
I think his time is definitely coming to an end though.

Re: Dycheball or tika taka
I'd like to see attacking football. Tika taka isn't always attacking. Dyche stays along the lines of 'it's a results industry' - and so far he has done that. True, it's not always pretty, but neither is losing. Dyche worked out the Championship and won it. He worked out how to stay up and did it. No...

He'll go eventually. But I don't see why he would go anywhere just yet. He job is ridiculously safe considering the nature of the job. I'm unsure. I did like JC, however I'm starting to think he's the type who is very intelligent and his ideas are great - in an ideal world, which it isn't - however if someone disagrees with him he won't start a slanging match, but will just irritate. And personally, I don't think him and Trump woul...

Re: Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
To say Arfield is league is just ridiculous. Hendrick is still a (relatively) young lad, with plenty of time to improve, especially for a central midfielder. Dyche himself is still a young manager, with time to improve. He will only learn and improve by being able to solve problems without destroyin...

I'll go back to one game at a time.
If I find us pushing for top 10 I'll enjoy that too.
But I won't be getting disappointed if we only just survive.
I feel like I'm biting, but if I'm honest, I like the way it makes me feel optimistic UTC
