Re: Didn't replace Keane, no cover for Heaton.

As an aside, I watched Anderson playing for Port Vale at Stevenage on Saturday and thought he was run ragged by Danny Newton - in his first season as a full time pro - and Matt Godden. On that performance alone I don't see Anderson being anywhere near a Premier League defender and think he would str...

Re: Not born in Burnley never lived in Burnley but still a Claret?

Born raised and lived all my life in Hertfordshire! Big brother chose to support Burnley because he liked the colours( circa 1960 he would have been 10). I recall seeing him upset in May 1962 and have hated Spurs ever since. We lived near Potters Bar at that time 15 minutes by train from Arsenal. So...

Ian Wright....the only time for me as well.

Was behind the goal at Gillingham when he scored his first for us, wonderful moment....."Ian Wright scores for Burnley" almost surreal at the time. Oxford away was his best Burnley game for me though. Brilliant.

In my player scores I mentioned Westwood giving us the fresh legs to see the game through, funny though I thought Arfield would have gone off because I thought he was flagging after a great shift in the heat. Game of opinions I guess.

OK Stevenage to Welham Green meet brother 20 minutes, drive to Kingsbury and park in Preston Hill, 40 minutes due to A1 slow at Apex Corner. Walk to stadium 35 minutes fine weather no problem. Same in reverse getting back, great away point in the bag, chilli and glass of Claret just seemed appropria...

I thought the atmosphere was shite both in the home and away areas. Great ending to the match but Wembley doe...

It is amusing to see some people complaining about southern based Burnley fans though... It is funny Sidney, maybe it would be better if we all stood up all game gesticulating at the home fans instead of watching the game! I actually thought the atmosphere in the away end was pretty good given the ...

Deadman Refereed a pre season friendly at Stevenage (V Norwich City 3 weeks ago). I left at half time as he was destroying that game with his customary ineptness, now if they get rid of Mr Kettle as well (if he hasn't retired) that would perhaps send a message to other referee's to "up their games"

The Grove just outside Watford is superb but not cheap,Knebworth is worth a visit, Welwyn Garden City (Manicotts Road) is always in good trim but my favourite would be Brookmans Park which is 11 minutes by train from Finsbury Park for Arsenal.

Just my opinion obviously but this defeat was about attitude. It looked like the team approached this game with a "we're Premier League playing anon-league team" attitude.
