Re: “Getting sacked in the morning”
One definite was Nigel Worthington at Norwich in 2006. We won 4-1 at Carrow Road and he’d lost his job by the time we got back to the car.

Re: Burnley beat Fulham in Portugal
Surely in a training game you can play as many goalkeepers as you wish, giving all three a run out, even so, not to play the goalkeeper who finished the season as number one is a little strange to say the least. I don’t think he’d want to start changing keeper part way through a half to be honest. ...

Robbie did play well for them that night. But I remember Jack Lester, not for the only time, running us ragged. We couldn’t handle the pair of them but we were actually the best team in the first half. We wore a new kit that night but it never saw the light of day again, the players refused to wear...

Do you think going CAT 1 would be completely dependent on us retaining our place in the PL ? I would potentially think so but I believe the plan is to push for Cat 1 at the next audit which will be due during this coming season. That will take us to another level with our games programme at under-1...

Lancashire had a cracking side in those days, full of stars, and as a young lad I would go over to Old Trafford for the cricket, whenever my mother would let me, mainly for the John Player League on Sundays, which we won in the first two seasons of it's existence. Some great scenes from Lords the d...

Despite my earlier comment Tony, about Crichton not being good enough for the next level up, I totally agree about Michopoulos. You are probably right - he was a bloody old looking 35 year old when we signed him. Incredibly though he played all 92 league games in his two seasons at Burnley and I'm not certain he was ever substituted.
