Fcburnley, yes it was a good year. I first went on the Turf with my dad when I was four years old in 1951 and went on every season, with plenty of away games, until 6 years ago when my wife and I finally decided to move out to Torrequebrada near Benalmadena in Spain. This was after owning a family property in the area four about 30 years. I still try and get back to see about half a dozen home games and I have targeted the first two weeks in December when we play three home games in two weeks. I still watch every Burnley game home and away in the Lounge in Benalmadena along with the other Benalmadena Clarets.

Airedale Hospital - Steeton - Keighley

38 years ago today. Only family links to Burnley are back in the late 1800s (when I’ve done some digging on the old ancestry sites)

Dunfermline, wish we could play each other in a pre-season friendly. 1500 + plus away fans at either venue.

Rossendale General 1972. My Mum and Dad live in one of the houses built on the old site - my mum thinks the house is built where the maternity ward was....... spooky??

Northern Ireland.

Amusingly I qualify for dual nationality, so if I don't like my passports colour next year I could get a different one..

Same side but higher up the first block for me, 3rd house beyond where the front gardens stop. Left town in 1973 though so you'd only be c 8 then. My maternal gran lived a few houses up from you - at 18,the one with the castellated front garden wall.

Another from Rossendale General, born August 1952. It was commonly referred to as "the Moorlands" at that time, but just checked and it changed from Moorlands Infirmary to Rossendale General in 1948.

Looking at the above posts I see that all the best people were born in Rossy General :-)

Why did the OP have to use the word actually? It would have been the same question without it

Actually belongs in the bin alongside literally and basically

Reedyford - not sure whether that was in Nelson or gulp, Barrowford. I've always claimed to be a Nelsoner, though.
