It is.... The anti betting brigade can’t really agree but very clever by both HTFC and PaddyPower.

Great bit of business by PP marketing department... they couldn’t have paid for such advertising as this has brought in.

HTFC have apologised to fans for this.

Does it really need an apology or are people just too sensitive?

There was a piece on Look North tonight. Think it was the Chief Exec (Jarvis?) who apologised to fans.

One thing I did read today was from the Huddersfield Town Supporters Association who said: “We’ve also had positive feedback from parents who are pleased that their kids can wear the same shirt as the players.”

Well, put the kids on the pitch..... they can't be as bad as HTFC were last year!

Paddy power have done the same with Motherwell. Part of the save our shirt campaign it's saying on Motherwell site. Liking the sponsor free shirts.

Huddersfield/paddy power have continued their save the shirt campaign by giving away the brand new sponsorless home shirt for free in exchange for a shirt that does contain a sponsor.

Would absolutely love our shirt sponsor (whoever it is) to do something like this. How smart do them shirts look compared with the Derby one.

I think we would all like sponsorless shirts but maybe not to have our club used as Huddersfield have by Paddy Power.

I'm not sure I agree they have been 'used by' Paddy Power. Both sides get something out of it and I'm sure HTFC went into it with eyes open.

I know the FA have rules, but come on! Hopefully Huddersfield will appeal and they will accept to drop the charge based on circumstances

If it was an "official" game then there would be no argument against the fine, but it was a friendly game, after which the shirts were auctioned for charity.

If they are fined then I'd be surprised if Paddy Power don't pay it seeing as it was their idea

I suspect/hope you're right. It was a clever piece of marketing, either way.

Just amazing marketing. Imagine not sponsoring a shirt for a season and getting this much coverage.

I even forget the names of the companies Burnley have had over the last few years.
