Being run this Saturday on the TV .. I will run a sweep for this If I can get forty names on this thread before Saturday.. If more than forty apply ,then the first forty names down will be taken...
NOW THE TWIST .... The first five horses home the owners will have to donate a tenner to the NHS charity by their own means.. So it's actually all down to the persons own honesty..
I'm in,come on everybody lets have a laugh to cheer us up and help the NHS..

Brilliant idea, if you have the time, you could give everyone a 2nd chance on the same terms in the " National legends " virtual race, that's being broadcast in the same show. Tiger Roll up against Red Rum, Reynoldstown, L'escargot and Golden Miller ....

It's a pretty decent representation of the "proper" race.
Here are the 3 winners of the Virtual Grand Nationals run so far
2017 Cause Of Causes (2nd in the race proper)
2018 Tiger Roll (winner in the race proper)
2019 Rathvinden (3rd in the race proper)

Not very well ,can I just point out I have just decanted 3 tonne of nutty slack from a spillage on Lakeland way this morning to the rear of my house in preparation for any forth coming cold snap
Actually my dear wife did help by holding the side gate open

We've done a sweep with seven of our family, £10 in each ..... £35 for the winner, £25 2nd, £15 for 3rd and a £5 for fourth .....
All picked at random, with 5 horses left out, including interestingly Tiger Roll !!

Nothing virtual about the £20 I lost.
Still, all in a good cause and it will be interesting to see how much has been raised. No figure released yet, I don't think.

Sort of. If the virtual horse fell really badly and got a serious virtual injury then they shot the real horse.
Dont quote me on this but I think 4 actual horses got shot

Apparently there were no deaths in the virtual race.
Which, strangely, is the same as in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2013. Nothing like the real thing?
