Corona virus in Mauritius .
Mauritius is almost closed due to the presence of Corona Virus . So far10 have died ,and since two weeks nobody has caught the virus. Still Mauritius is cautious lest it may return as it has happened in many countries. To name one-Singapore .The population has to remain in closed doors . Days are allocated according to alphabets for purchases in the Super Markets .
We do believe that gradually the population would be freed may be as from 15 May .Hotels and restaurants are still closed .Public transport is partially open but social distancing is being imposed . The harbour and the airport are closed .
I do believe that by 1st June every thing will be normalised .

Re: Corona virus in Mauritius .
I wish they would impose such strict guidelines in other countries. Here in the USA there's a large variety of people using their time off to deliberately break laws.
Our neighbors for one seem to have had a constant party ever since lockdown and what's worse is one of them has had a bad cough for a good couple of weeks now.
And to think there are places in the world where people are sensible enough to respect guidelines without any law enforcement..

As from today public transport is available . taxi and private cars are o the road . The population is gradually out for purchases . all public buildings are under control .customers are admitted provided he falls in one of these categories namely A to f on Modays and Thursdays , G to O on Tuesdays and fridays and P to Z on Wednesdays and Saturdays . Sunday is closed . Schools are to open on 1st August but education is being pursuedtrough the medium of TV programmes . beaches are cleaned and properly mowed and to open next week .i feel in two weeks time the airport will be opened only to those countries where corona virus can not played a havoc .
all employees were paid during their forced absences . govt helped private sectors throuh loans . govt is watching that no eo post is declared vacant and otherwise unemployment would rise .
