The main deadline day news being Arsenal releasing mascot Gunnersaurus ,ironically as a “ streamlining and cost cutting exercise “
Wonder what he was on salary wise ?

Perhaps the Gunnersaurus outfit fits Ozil...

Would be a good signing, but think wages could be an issue

The dinosaurs in charge of Arsenal will send that club back to the stone age.

Yes, but he’s worth it. Isn’t he?

They've turned his offer down but sized him up for the costume.

Yeah I saw that as well. A decent gesture but doesn't seem right for them to be spending 45 million on a new midfielder and laying people off at the same time.

A lot of Arsenal fans were, unsurprisingly, very unhappy about this. He's well known and popular amongst the local fans.
Although he's now been kept on there are another 55 staff being made redundant and, I hear, perks such as a free season ticket for staff are being removed.
Hopefully this will give an element of perspective for those complaining about our board penny pinching.

Yes credit to Ozil for that offer, he's been lambasted by many on here including myself, but fair does for him to recognise this story and offering to help.
