Bolton 3 Port Vale 6
Just catching up on the scores having been out today, I shouldn't laugh but
and this was a PV team coming off 5 straight defeats, now that's a bad day at the office if I've seen one, is this Bolton's Hereford moment?

Re: Bolton 3 Port Vale 6
Bolton had just had 5 wins....
Vale had just had 5 losses....
Vale hit 6 against the Manky Manky Wanderererers
Brilliant

I don’t understand this obsession with Bolton Wanderers? Yes I know how it was when Judas did the dirty on us and the 10 years ahead of us comments. However, that regime has long departed and one of the main protagonists Gartside has now sadly passed away.
Yes Bolton fans laughed and goaded us at the time before Coyle got found out and ultimately set them back 10 years, but we would have done the same if the boot was on the other foot. Bolton are a famous old North West club just like we are and it would be a tragedy if they went the same way as Bury. It may take a while but I am hoping that Bolton can start to get a bit of stability and climb up the leagues again as it will be healthy for North West football.

Nah.
I've more respect for Rovers to be honest.

While generally agreeing with you and being thankful it’s not us, I did have to laugh at the line: “Before Coyle got found out and ultimately set them back 10 years.”Jenny55 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:26 amI don’t understand this obsession with Bolton Wanderers? Football fans have long memories.
It is not just the Judas 10-years ahead saga, ultimately sealing out fate that season, taking an ex-Claret Legend with him and the "Cheating John McGinley" game did nothing to help.
Liars and Cheats stick in the craw, even after all these years.

Glad that made you chuckle Tony! If I am honest I enjoyed watching us when Coyle was manager and there were many exciting end to end games during our promotion season. He inherited some good players and added a few also but I would class him as a ‘lucky’ manager. He did in my view get found out at every club he went to after us and I don’t feel sorry for him in the slightest, in fact I have a chuckle every time he parts company with a club after a brief tenure at each one. I do however wish no ill fortune on Bolton and hope they find a bit of stability and start climbing again. At the end of the day their supporters are just like ours, predominantly working class Northern folk and deserve a football team to support.

Mark Langdon the football editor of the Racing Post recommended a 4-fold Acca for yesterday's matches
Bristol City - Lost
Watford - Lost
Bolton - Lost
Inter Milan - Won
Well, 1 out of 4 isn't bad
Good day for the bookies again it seems

I recall a Hot Good Friday at Burnden Park. They were a feisty Lot from Bolton.Jenny55 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:26 amI don’t understand this obsession with Bolton Wanderers?
