Probably the first time anyone from Burnley has seen this in colour since 1967 !!
I agree, the people behind the Eintracht F/B page have been most generous with their time !

Guessing ages by looking at faces I reckon they turned up with 12 players.

The autograph hunters are most likely from St Ted's. I think the lad on the right was in my class.

Burnley Civic Trust have found another picture from the same day, our friends from the Eintracht F/B page have narrowed the player down to either Peter Blusch or Ernst Abbe . Not sure if " Streeterpingfellow's " Dad is on this one, but there may be others people may recognise. A few posters have suggested that they're St Theodores uniforms .....

Wow,what a wonderful post...it was my first ever visit to Turf Moor & the start of a long & winding road to now!
I’d just got married & lived in Bacup(from Shaw, near Oldham) & I went on the tie with a salesman from the National Cash Register Co.Ltd.at 18/20 Sandygate,Burnley, where I was a cash register engineer & 20 yrs old.I know we lost 1-2 but as I wasn’t a BFC supporter at that time(that came the next season) it didn’t hurt.
My next game was at end of the season when Everton were the visitors in a 1-1 draw & David Thomas made his debut. What a lot of memories over the last half century!

Thanks, " CT " ... I don't know if there's a way you can get a message to MartinP and Streeterpingfellow, as I don't know if they've seen it. I know " Streeter " was very keen to identify the players, because his late father was on the picture. Eintracht also sent me a current photo of the pennant they received from Burnley FC, which is hung in their Museum ...
Many thanks for all your help on this. I knew someone on here would know the answer. Really thrilled that the picture came to light after all these years. Absolutely love that it’s Grabowski and Frankfurt as I’ve been a follower of German football since the early 90’s. My Dad would have been at Towneley High I think by then.
