I can't remember the last time I watched a match when Burney weren't playing.

I must say that I’m enjoying the football at the moment. All the games are in live on tv and some, against Liverpool, Aston Villa and Brighton in particular, have been most entertaining. I hardly ever watch games that don’t involve Burnley but did watch Liverpool and Man.City and found that entertaining as well. Getting used to the crowds not being there as well. It makes a pleasant change to not have to see close ups of baying overweight Newcastle fans shaking their clenched fists at the camera.

Add in top flight clubs simply becoming status symbols for billionaire foreigners/corrupt states. I really enjoy going to watch Colne FC now. Proper sense of community at that level and the clubs are mainly run by volunteers who do it because they love it.
My brother is vice-chairman at Colne. He almost had me attending one of their games (it is a fair trek from her to Burnley let alone going to Colne as well ;) ) and then lockdown occured and they were shut down too for the duration
