Yeah they must really love his contributions. He's clearly having a fantastic season. Speak to most Newcastle fans and they will tell you that his two goals side he's been bobbins. Here's a comparison to Brownhill who's played a similar amount of games for us:

Christ even Stephens has more strengths.
Two goals and assists ahead yet weak in every other area. So much so his overall game stats serve him no strengths at all. I won't bore you with the individual stats as it's pretty easy to find those yourself.
He's basically doing for them what he did for us. Once or twice a season he'll have a good game and chip in. But 90% of the time he'll go missing.
No sympathy for me. He jumped ship because he didn't like the contract we offered him. Every other Burnley player who has done that would get abuse from fans. Yet he seems to be some kind of idol to many on here.
Very impressive, however, it is just someone else's opinion and based on other peoples' opinions ---perhaps even Newcastle and Clarets fans.
With Josh Brownhill, who I do rate, unlike a lot of Burnley fans, playing we have averaged 1.12 points per game whereas Newcastle with Hendrick in the team have averaged 1.17 points per game and last season we averaged 1.50 per game and he did and has scored goals which is something which Josh has to add to his game.
I do know what Newcastle fans think because I live amongst them and have done for well over 30 years.
I was giving facts, neither for nor against Hendrick himself, just simply how Newcastle had fared with and without him in the team.
I do not criticise players or ex-players because they are doing something which I only did at semi-pro level and it was hard enough there.
Your opinion is exactly that and you have lots of people in Burnley and Newcastle who think the same, that does not cause me a problem at all ---it's only a game.
