Pitch looked fair shite to be fair. Probably needs to blame Pepe though. 90 million and he kicks thin air

Same for both sides no matter what the pitch was like, it is getting on for the end of the season as well.

It was a horrible pitch, bobble central. But it's home advantage and the more he whinges the worse it will be next year.
Ravi Ashwin has asked if he can bowl on it.

Pitch looked really poor but didn’t seem to play too badly in my opinion. Arteta’s just a really sore loser. That’s what happens when you are used to winning as a player and then end up managing a very mediocre side.

He is a t*sser. More on one striker than our entire squad and they are only 8 points ahead of us with three parts of the season gone.

Worst I've seen the Dresso pitch this season
When it was originally installed, didn't they say that it has a 10 year life plan. Times up

So when they draw at the turf the excuse is the pitch, what was the excuse when we won at the Emirates in December then.

to be fair it's hard for international footballers worth hundreds of millions to play on an average pitch whilst fat dave has it perfected on a sunday after 15 pints the night before

Our pitch has been poor for a while now but a lot of pitches are and much of that is down to the shortened close season preventing a lot of the work being done.
It doesn't help if you don't bother watering it though.

The comment was made several times by BT pundits regarding uneven and dry state
The pitch had not been watered before the match started or at half time
There were a lot of uneven bounces but we are just used to have difficulty in controlling the ball on any pitch so get on with it whereas they are clearly "pitch perfect"
Boom boom

Last season he was complaining that the grass was a bit on the long side.
Unlike Bill Shankly he obviously hadn't heard about the Longside at Burnley.

Still ticks me off that PL have standardised pitch sizes. It should be up to the home side to decide what dimensions suit them.
Complaining about the state of the pitch is pathetic, just an easy excuse for poor play.

It looked like there had been a lot of games played on it recently - which there has!
Next home game is 10th April v Newcastle so plenty of time for some TLC.

He looks like someone who is used to getting his own way. Must come as a bit of a shock to him when he doesn't.

So to sum up.
We should have got the pitch to how Arsenal wanted it.
Wood should have played the Corinthian spirit and caught the ball.
Pieters should have made amends for Arsenal not getting a penalty by catching the next ball into the box then walking off.

Arteta used to winning as a player? I dunno about that one, he was a decent player, nowhere near the likes of Fabregas etc.
Arteta still learning in management, i'm not convinced by him at all though, very boring negative football, not like Wenger's free flowing open stuff and the results under Arteta have been horrific. At least that Emery fella got them 5th with a much worse squad than Arteta currently has.

I think he finished in the top 4 every season when he played for Arsenal, and won a couple of FA Cups, so I'd say he was fairly used to winning as a player. This Arsenal side is much poorer than the one that he played in and are nowhere near being one of the top sides in the PL.

I think this squad he has is arguably better on paper than the Arsenal sides he played in.

Let's not forget its a big drop down going from assistant manager at a team top of the table, to arsenal.

If SD had not had that pitch to his explicit requirements I would be amazed.
The pitch was as rough as we could get away with... we used to move the lines in and out too.... feck em
No one like us, anyway. UTC

I love getting under the big clubs skins.
The pitch didn't look very good to me but Arsenal have only themselves to blame. Will Arteta do that? Obviously not.

They dropped 2 points due to the poor surface, when we played on their 'perfect' surface they dropped 3 points !!
Think he needs a new book of excuses, he must be running low now ...

Was the roughness of the pitch the reason he squealed like a pig while rolling around on it....embarrassing from a so called Professional footballer.
