Not yet heard his exciting take on Scottish independence but hopefully we'll hear more from him soon.

It’s just the usual 5-10 minutes of ‘Insert literally any pundits name here’ saying it’s time for Dyche to go to a ‘bigger’ club (whilst name checking Crystal Palace?!).

Dyche has done an unbelievable job and undoubtedly has earned an opportunity if one was offered to him, but I think the narrative is so weighted against Burnley every time this comes up, like we do not deserve to be here or deserve him as our manager. It’s regurgitated every time we have any decent form ad infinitum.

I thought his comments summed up pretty accurately the situation with SD and our new owners, TBF.

What I would say is that Dyche looks a lot happier now than he did before a Burnley were sold. If he gets offered a better job he will probably take it, whereas he definitely would have under the previous owners. The point about Spurs is absolutely right, he should be absolutely at the top of their list.

Lampard would be an exciting and invigorating young manager for them.

They should be looking at him or Eddie Howe, not some gruff old northern hoofball dinosaur like Dyche.

Palace are probably a better prospect than Burnley due to spending power.

Look at the money they have spent over the years. Dyche with that kind of funding could have them playing an attractive winning brand of football.

I could see the lure for him. Would certainly enhance the possibility of him getting a top job in the future.

I can’t see him being offered a top job whilst at Burnley due to the style of play.

The new owners might give him the financial freedom to improve the style of play.

Good stuff from Jordan, as always.

Palace may spend more, but its not really gotten them anywhere and it wasn't that long ago it needed that buyout to save them.

Dyche does deserve a crack at somewhere like Spurs, Poch got it after achieving nothing, Parker has achieved even less.

Poch was at Saints for 16 months...

Dyche could do better things with more money, he would do a lot better at a much bigger club like Spurs.

At Palace he'd just be tasked with becoming a regular in the top 10 and forays into Europe, probably identical to here.

I preferred the altered Volkswagen Beetle with which they used to repair the pitch after a match.

Dyche now a very firm favourite at 13/5 to become the new Crystal Palace boss, 17/2 Eddie Howe and drifting, then 20/1 bar those 2.

Palace are a bigger club than us only due to their location in South London, where they have a larger fan base and are more attractive to suitors, although we do have a far better history

Whoever takes over Palace will have a big job on their hands with players out of contract this summer and the part American owners wanting to sell, so I can't see Dyche being attracted to the job

Does like to mention how he failed, to prove he is an expert in all things business and football

Real conundrum for Dyche and his personal career. He could get better finances from the new owners, they would have to significantly increase both wage budget and transfer fees to get remotely close to what Palace can afford.

I have been saying it for a while, I think the one club we have to be worried about losing Dyche to is Palace.

They are tailor made for him to come him. Lots of the deadwood leaving the club this summer. Best players being kept on like Zaha, Eze, Konate, Milevojivic, etc...

He could come into that team with a decent pot of money and they could challenge for Europe on a regular basis.

Be shocking to lose him to Palace but I could certainly see why he would go there.

I would imagine he is nowhere near Levys shortlist after just potting the same defensive manager who has won the most trophies out of any modern manager....

The point I am making is he is a hell of lot more likely to reach Europe more often with Palaces resources than ours.

Imagine what Dyche could do with 30-50m a season and a higher wage bracket. He would be. challenging top 6-7 with that quality of player on a fairly regular basis.

Depends on who was choosing who to spend the 30-50m a season on.

But Palace simply can't spend that much each season, otherwise they would have done so, without letting so many players get to the end of their contracts.

I'd don't think he is wrong in what he is saying.
And the Palace reference was made as a 'my club... palace' then added 'with ambition' mentioning a time in which Palace signed the former Ajax and Inter manager (whether it went well or not is irrelevant). For me this isn't a Palace are big, but more of a 'If Palace want to be bigger, they should look at Dyche' and in my view, that is nothing but a compliment.

Palace have never, ever achieved as many points as we have, in 2 of the last4 seasons. They've never finished as high as we have, ever.
The idea that Palace will be pushing fir Europe anytime soon with or without SD, is a long stretch.

They aren't the same defensive managers though.

Dyche has NEVER lost the dressing room here and the only players he's had an issue with that we know of are Ings and Gibson.
That's it.

Vydra - Dyche worked with Vydra to improve his overall game and its paying off.
Vydra listened, understood, worked hard and has been rewarded with an extended run in the team that is paying dividends for both him and the team.

Dyche's man management skills means he'd probably do well with bigger players.

Point taken, Sean Dyche now quoted as 100/30 Favourite. But, if it is assumed that Eddie Howe is taking the Celtic job then the next name in the frame is Scott Parker who is priced at 20/1.

There was a thread with over 800 posts on Dyche going to Crystal Palace created in July 2017 so this rumour seems to be hanging around a very long time.

I have never even considered that Dyche would be attractive to any of the really big clubs but Crystal Palace may well suit him a lot better. Dyche seems to like to work with a smaller squad of players that he knows and trusts and I cannot envisage Palace having a huge squad to work with next season. Given the level of finance may be better he could improve the quality of the group that he has to work with.

Re: Simon Jordan on Dyche

The media base the size of a club on how much money they spend, therefore palace are the bigger club. Bournemouth were a bigger club in the medias eyes than us as were the likes of Sunderland and Hull and look where that got them.
If Dyche does go it would be interesting to see how getting the big players to do as he says, and how his tactics of not using subs and not changing the side would fare, especially if said club is in Europe. He certainly would not get the time he has here, if he went to spurs and failed to win a trophy or get into Europe in the first year he is out of a job and probably back managing in the championship. Always a big risk to take especially when he is as job secure as a football manager can be currently.

So they're a big club because they're based in London? their attendances are similar to ours. They have 20k fans and haven't won sh!te, rich London club or not.

The point I am making is he is a hell of lot more likely to reach Europe more often with Palaces resources than ours.

Imagine what Dyche could do with 30-50m a season and a higher wage bracket. He would be. challenging top 6-7 with that quality of player on a fairly regular basis.
30-50M a season is nowhere near enough to consistently challenge for Europe. Palace's current team isn't good, it would need considerable spending to catch up to Leicester.
