Yes it’s not too bad as far as football documentaries go, landing Holloway after DF left for Bolton was a masterstroke in recruitment.

I know its different circumstances and a hugely different timescale, but I suppose its a bit like our rise and resurgence since the Orient game, their "pivotal" draw against Sheff Wednesday being rather similar.

I'll give it a whirl.

There’s quite a few clubs with Amazon Prime documentaries about them now, presumably linked to the showing live matches. Wonder if we’ll get our turn?

I was going to post about this as I have been watching it.

I think it’s a distinctly strange documentary.

It begins by implying that they have lots of unreleased behind the scenes footage. Well, I’m three (of five) episodes in and I’m yet to see any. They have brief highlights from some games but then it is extensive interviews with people from the present day reflecting back on a somewhat unremarkable promotion.

I don’t know why it’s been made. Lots of clubs in The Championship had financial issues at this point and Palace stumble their way to the play offs.

I’d have understood it if it was a fly on the wall style documentary but this feels like a documentary produced by Palace themselves with slightly higher production values than your typical club shop DVD. It’s an odd one.

Weren't they in a commanding position when Freedman left with Holloway only just about getting them up?

Yes that’s true, the lead did slip away & it wasn’t until Peterborough last day of the season playoffs were confirmed much to Peterborough’s expense, I’m crediting Holloway for bringing Kevin Phillips in & if I’m correct that goal led to the PL.
