I'm not so sure he did too much in recent years but he must have offered a lot given they have retained him for so long

Kidd had a great playing career and a not bad one in coaching/ assistant manager...Good luck to him...Nice fella.

Collyhurst, Crumpsall, Harpurhey, all places I was familiar with when I lived in Manchester in the 1960's. All places ,too, that you would strive to get out of and away from. Football was his way out, excellent player at club and international level and then an excellent coach to young lads aiming to become pro's. A lot of bad press recently regarding the behaviour of some but I know first hand from one particular ex-pupil of mine the influence both Kidd and later Archie Knox, had on him and others around him. Words were not enough for how he was looked after, cared for and guided by Brian Kidd and Archie Knox. You've got to be something special to win the support of both sides of the city and Brian Kidd is one of only a few to achieve that. Not much in Collyhurst when he was growing up but he has retained his roots. 72 now, by my reckoning and good service provided wherever he has worked

Having watched the documentary, he seemed nothing more than someone who put the cones out, and opened the door for pep
