Same team that started v Leeds, Cornet on the bench.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Vydra for Barnes. That would for me be the only change from the Leeds game. Look at Cornet being on the bench as well.
Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Cornet's Instagram Story perhaps alludes to him being involved tomorrow.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
These threads used to be a lot more fun when there was at least a hint of doubt about the team to be selected.
Perhaps with our stronger squad the starting 11 will be more varied.

I’ll be shocked if he’s in the starting 11

His partner is at the Lyon game tonight, can’t work out if he is there!
Has he even trained with us yet?

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Fairly certain that Hendrick's first involvement after he had signed was being a sub v Hull (when Defour scored in a 1-1 draw).warksclaret wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 8:59 amThe big question is will SD start with Cornet-few new players have unless they joined pre season, although Jeff Hendrick went straight into the team v Leicester. I have a feeling we start with the same team v Leeds and Cornet will come on in the second half

If Cornet is fit then I will be very disappointed if he doesn't make the match day squad.

Everybody saying he won’t be involved until he’s up to the required fitness levels etc. What if he’s come in and has had better test results than a lot of the current squad and is incredibly fit already? Just saying?

Local cricketer any luck with team
Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
I’m sure Dyche is still ‘pondering’ whether to start Barnes and Wood or Vydra and Wood.
There is no dispute that Barnes and Wood are putting in 100% effort but their partnership just doesn’t seem to be effective at the moment.
Vydra will need a couple of full games to get up to speed so what would YOU do if it were your choice? Give Barnes and Wood a couple more starts or make a change now and start with Vydra?

I must be looking at the wrong Instagram account. All I see is photos of him abroad or in the gym.
Where is this photo that suggests he's starting tonight?

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Sky sports news reporting cornet could start. I've no problem with that if he's fit, and would love him to play on the left with mcneil as a no10, with the option of vydra after 60/65 minutes.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Be interesting if he starts as Dyche doesn't normally start new signings from the off. He normally makes them wait and they get their chance when an injury or complete balls up happens.
Who do you think he'll replace? JBG on the right?

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Read somewhere that Taylor is out for some reason. Is that true? If so then Cornet may be expected by some to start at LB. To me that would be dangerous after only a couple of days training with us. I'd much prefer Pieters there for now.
It's asking a lot to expect Cornet to change countries and languages and play a full game with so little Burnley training. So if he does play, let's hope people don't judge him too harshly if things don't work out.

I was under the impression that Cornet has been signed for right midfield, but guess he's played left back before.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Isn't JBG injured, he definitely missed at least one of Iceland's games during the international break.
So if that is the case I guess Cornet will be a straight replacement on the RW.
It is rare for a new signing to go straight into the starting XI, the last one I can think of is Chris Wood against Palace.
But we don't buy many £13m players from Europe do we.
Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
The last I read, we had everybody fit, other than those who were out last game. So if Taylor or JBG is injured, I've not heard or read about it from any reliable source.tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 11:37 amIsn't JBG injured, he definitely missed at least one of Iceland's games during the international break.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
I guess that you haven't been following these threads very much? He played LB for Lyon last season but he's also played left and right wing and also as a striker during his career.
Pretty sure we'll utilise him on the RW eventually, but I'm sure it's his versatility that Sean likes about him.

Wood's debut was off the bench against Spurs.tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 11:37 amIsn't JBG injured, he definitely missed at least one of Iceland's games during the international break.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Against Everton I'd start Vyds instead of Ash. Apart from that its the same team.
Hopefully Cornet will be on the bench, even if he doesn't get used, and if we are losing late on, why not give him an opportunity.

You may well be correct, he definitely played in that match, so that's good news.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 1:10 pmI thought JBG captained the national side v Germany, the 2nd of their games. Maybe in the first game.e too.
In which case if JBG plays tonight, then Cornet may well find himself at LB, assuming Charlie's out.

Agree on starting Vyds, he bagged for the CR the other evening, so he should be on a high.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 12:53 pmAgainst Everton I'd start Vyds instead of Ash. Apart from that its the same team.

And Ash Barnes hasn't got going in his appearances thus far, so we might as well try something different up front.

There is no way on earth that Cornet will start at left back ahead of Pieters if Taylor is unavailable tonight.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Not sure that’s true about Charlie. May have come from Leeds fans getting all excited about rahinha “ending his career” when in reality he tripped himself up. He was fine all game against Leeds and I doubt he’s injured seeing as dyche has said nothing about it.

JBG definitely started the 1st and 3rd of Iceland's 3x matches over the international break. He missed the 2nd match but not sure if rested or injured. Also, Dyche didn't mention he was injured in his pre-match news conference.

Pope
Pieters
Mee
Tarks
Lowton
McNeil
Cork (holding)
Westwood (holding)
Cornet (right)
Vydra (as a 10, Sean seems to have forgotten how good he played last season)
Wood
Barnes and Wood up top just isn't working at the moment and we need to get Woody running on to balls through the channels, if we play 4-4-2 that invariably dosen't happen at all.

Re: Your starting eleven vs Everton
Burnley's Facebook page has a post from today with Charlie Taylor the featured image, regarding tonight's game. That could suggest he'll be playing, and isn't injured.
