Because opposition repeatedly target Taylor and Dwight for overloading. It is something we very much need to address. We tend to lose our heads in midfield when the opposition get on top. It has to be a concern, Cork’s cooler head may be the answer. We need to control the midfield, even if it means throwing extra bodies in there to stop the gaps while we’re struggling. Get the wide men hitting the chalk.

Taylor does leave a space but Ben Mee doesn't need to be attracted in to it. He's too slow to be out there and leaves too big a gap in the middle.

Hopefully the video starts at 1.25 to show Ben Mee's starting position when Everton have the ball 15 yards still in their half.
When you roll the video on it shows the Everton player is on the inside of him.
He's not goal side and 20 yards out of position.

Burnley need the 2 CHs between the posts area.

It was shocking defending all round for their third goal - shape all over the show and very unlike us.

Quite true, but Ben Mee was tempted to help block the source as he recognised that was the danger and was drawn to stamp it out. As I state it needs addressing as it clearly destabilises the defence, but it was a problem Mee had spotted and felt he had to address… it has happened all season and needs Dyche’s attention.

There was absolutely no reason for Charlie to defend so central. If DCL had played fair enough but Richarlison, not noted for his headed goals, was playing CF with two wingers up front with him. Mark the effing wingers and stop the crosses. Both of BHAs goals, Leeds and Everton’s first all coming from our LB position is no coincidence. We’ve been sussed. Get it fixed SD.

Main concern is why Lowton wasn't tucked in alongside Tarkowski when the play was down the left side. That's just basics of full back positioning.

I must agree with Ipreferaflan Lowton is caught out of position and too far forward. Basics of a fullback is to cover more centrally when the other full back is going forward which he didn’t. He then does not have the pace to get back and cover for his mistake.

There’s an awkward conversation SD is gonna have to have shortly with Ben Mee. His mistakes are becoming too frequent , he’s slower than ever and his distribution is poor and IMO his positional sense has deserted him . He’s brave as a lion etc but is he really irreplaceable??

He has two options and made the wrong decision. McNeil should have been covering and Lowton on the other side. Sometimes you have to gamble rather than stay half way between two places and that's what he did.

Turns out it was wrong, but if he stayed in the middle then who knows, they may have scored a different way from more space on the wing.
