To the tune of Maxwells Silver Hammer obviously.
Sean was quizzical
Studied pataphysical framework off the ball
Late nights all alone in his kitchen
or with EE-EE-an Woan.
Maxwel Cornet, playing for Lyonnaise
calls him on the phone,
can I play for the clarets?
Sho-ohoh-ean
Bang bang Maxwels left foot hammer bears down upon their net (doo-doo-doo-doo)
Clang clang Maxwels right foot hammer makes sure that they are dead.
Go-oh-oh-oh-al!
Might be a bit hard to remember though

Excellent. I suggested Maxwell's Silver Hammer before we even signed him.
Sadly, there's more chance of the CFS singing Nessun Dorma than that.

Possibly because it’s Defours song but love this one so disappointed it hasn’t caught on for our Maxwel. Sure he’d love it!!!

Olé for me
Was amazing mate. He was lapping it up, over to the Jimmy Mac and then a slow walk down the Longside. I always stay to the end but that was a good moment. I don’t think he got that affection at Lyon, so it’s nice to see him receive the appreciation his performances deserve.

Im thinking something around rhyming full back with plays in attack and as Fidel is normally a dab hand at coming up with football chants maybe he could work his magic and turn my acorn of an idea into an oak tree of a Burnley song

How about to the tune of ‘This Girl’ by Kungs vs Cookin’ on 3 Burners as per what Liverpool used to sing for wijnaldum.
Der Der Der Der Der Der Maxwel Cornet
And repeat.
Nice and simple !

It's too late it was 'Ole Ole Ole Cornet Cornet' in the Longside Lower on Saturday and it's never gonna change now. I loved his piece at the end as he walked off sloooowly. .brilliant with one sock up and one down. Just an average Joe. Not.

Martial chant at United would work well:
Maxwel cornet he came from France,
The Lyon fans said he had no chance,
15 million down the drain,
Maxwel cornet he scores again

I posted this a while ago but I still think Princes "Raspberry Beret" would be lovely.
We've got
Maaaaaxwell Cornet
The Kind you find playing at Turf moor
Maaaaaxwell Cornet
If he plays well you hear the Burnley Roar
Maaaaxwell Cornet
I think I love him!

Haha, I know it says 'song for Maxwell' but I did actually assume it meant chant... then saw some of the full lyrics on here, I'm surprised they don't come with the sheet music.
I'm just glad he has something, and everyone joins in. Ole Ole Ole works.
The Nick Pope and Charlie Taylor ones never sound right to me, but better than nothing, like most of the players.

That’s the same tune as the United martial one. Think it could work and catch on with the CFS but I think you’ve got too many syllables there in some lines

Tune of 'Volare' (obviously):
Max Cornet, whoah oh oh oh
Max Cornet, woah oh oh oh
From Cote D'Ivorie
to play for Burnalee
It would be worth it just to hear the CFS sing 'Cote D'Ivorie'.

Hope the CFS get some of these going. The man deserves more than one (poor) song. Some great ones on here. My preferences being:
1. Reworked version of Defour song.
=2. Martial one (first one mentioned by iloveyoubrady)
=2. Viva Max Cornet
All would sound brilliant echoing around TM. Come on Cricketfield…

tune of Tom Hark for the Cricketfield
Our songs are rubbish
they'll sing them too quickly
get a new song and
they'll sing it too quickly
It might be great
but they'll sing it too quickly
stop taking drugs cause
you're singing too quickly

I'm not normally a fan of stealing other clubs songs but I quite like that. Maybe take out the Max though and just sing Viva Cornet, rolls off the tongue better.

Maybe, but someone has to be the moderator of our chants - otherwise we may face another scenario like the ‘USA’ chants towards Dane Richards.

Maybe the club should install a big metronome at the front of the Cricketfield stand or have a conductor on the big screen to keep people at the correct speed.
It would be nice to hear "Sean Dyche's Claret and Blue army" instead of "SeaDychClarablurmy"
