There's a link to a pass on the clubs website you have to download apparently.
Pre registering your pass.

It says they can't guarantee your entry if you don't do it.

Tad dramatic.

Will everyone’s Covid pass be checked or just a random sample?

If just a random sample then what’s the point in checking them at all?

Expect chaos...

I can’t download mine. I’ve submitted photo ID via the app and I can’t download on a lap top to print off either. Any suggestions welcome because at this rate I won’t be attending.

How nice of you to say so.

I know people who have died from cancer in the past two years. They didn't see their GPs because of the lockdowns. There are an estimated 50,000 excess cases that fall into this category.

A very close friend of mine has suffered a stroke. A friend of a friend has also suffered a stroke.

I know people who have suffered mental health problems brought on by the lockdown. I know people who have suffered awfully because of the lockdown.

I know people who have lost all of their income because of the lockdown.

My own work has lost a large percentage of businesss this week because of the latest government announcements.

But I don't go around calling people who disagree with my opinions nasty words like you do.

I make my points without resorting to that kind of slur.

See above response.

Should I suggest you don't care about the people losing their livelihoods or point out that our excess non-covid deaths are still on the increase?

Should I accuse you of being a "fascist" or other such insult?

I'm not going to. You guys can stick to the insults, I'll continue to make my points and say so.

I haven't seen a single published cost benefit analysis.

I see no real world study that can give ANY evidence for mask wearing.

I see no real world evidence showing ANY evidence that lockdowns do anything other than cause misery, death and economic impoverishment.

The only real political opposition has come from within the Conversivate ranks (and notably Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott).

I shall continue to ignore the fact that people like yourself call me names (or like posts that call me names) instead of engaging in the debtate and I shall continue to make my points as politely as I can under these conditions.

Goodnight and God bless.

Thank you DA.

People can see for theselves what a farce this is.

Have the Watford team only just thought to test themselves for the new variant? It's self evidently very poor to call off a match this late.

Especially when their own supporters will have already set off.

I can't be bothered to make so much fuss this time. Nobody cared about the unnecessary expense caused last time.

You assume Watford have control of this when it could very much be controlled and decided on by the Premier League. Its a tough one but surely there is someone you can accuse of being a coward tonight

The app isn't down but going round and round and round in very frustrating circles.

I've tested positive ( pcr ) they have sent me a code to register but I'm slowly losing the will to live - not with Corvid, sheer frustration.

These government websites must be put together by kids brought up on gaming consoles, that's the only explanation why it's full of obstacles and hurdles then you return to base !

Place your hand in front of your face and sneeze. Note the amount of discharge that hits your hand. Repeat the above with a mask over your nose and mouth. Note the amount of discharge that hits your hand - it will be significantly less.

As for the merits of locking down I fully accept your counter argument. Clearly there are wider ramifications but you're not seriously suggesting that people staying in their homes won't reduce transmissions of a virus, are you? If that's what you do think then you might try thinking harder.

As for the personal attack on you above, it's not warranted but people feel very sensitive about these issues and you are clearly gonna touch a nerve by being dismissive. Try and be a little moke considerate and people may engage with you on the topics you obviously also have strong feelings about.

We need to unite. Bickering and division takes us backwards.

COVID is spread by aerosol particles which escape with ease from ffp1 and ffp2 masks.

Wear one and take a vape. Then breathe out. That's how ineffective they are.

See link below:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-57636360

From that article: "[Trained medical staff] were getting Covid despite doing everything they were asked to in terms of infection control."

Until they wore the ffp3 masks.

Why governments haven't mandated the ffp3 masks on international travel is a source of mystery to me.

But why they have mandated masks that we know beyond any reasonable do not work and have zero impact on COVID rates can only be answered satisfactorily if we consider the so-called "social aspects" of adherence to other measures such as lockdown restrictions and vaccine uptake.

I cannot escape the conclusion that masks are a tool to keep us in a specific state of mind.
They certainly serve no purpose on their own.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. As you say, we're all in it together. But that isn't a good argument for wearing masks.

No doubt in medieval times people would blame "heathens", "the ungodly" and anybody else they could for the arrival of the bubonic plague.

We're no different to them and we make the same kind of mistakes. I know I've been guilty of this myself early in the pandemic.

If I thought masks were helping in the slightest I'd wear one but all I think they achieve is to keep people in a fearful mindset and that is neither moral nor helpful in the long-term.

Anyway, although we disagree, thank you for a polite and thoughtful response. God bless and wishing you and your family the best of health and a Merry Christmas.
