Super Glen could turn a game in a flash and Max has this ability we just need others (Vydra playing) to feed him with quality balls

Just shows what QUALITY gives you. Three goals in three games. Thats not far off what Barnes & Rodriguez scored between them last season in the PL

Very true! You can’t put shackles on your most attacking outlet, we have done that to Dwight at times.

Stan used to leave him out a lot and always said it was like playing with ten men when the opposition had the ball

I think Stan and Sean are similar when it comes to rigid defensive duties. I love watching the videos showing Glens best moments, I remember with real joy the great goals and moments of sheer brilliance when ever Glen is mentioned, I don't think a video of Glen tracking back would be a best seller especially when a lot of his balls came from Glen receiving the ball from a defensive clearance

Glen’s always good value and what a player - proper ‘streets will never forget’ contender.

He didn't track back and that just doesn't work now but he did give us all entertainment. As for pace...he didn't seem to have any and yet he was capable of gaining that extra yard to get room to cross.

Who had the better career? Stan or Glen?
Glen was far better footballer, he hasn't tried coaching and management so can't compare any further then that.

Fellow Clarets enjoy Cornet whilst we can because if he continues in that upward trajectory of recent games he won't be with us for long unfortunately

It was also like playing with 10 men when Stan played him on the left!

It was also great watching Glen Little and Robbie Blake playing together.
They had a telepathic understanding where either of them seemed to know what the other was going to do.

It was earlier in his career when he was at Palace he got the nickname Blakey.
Glen Little on a podcast says a story that when we signed Robbie Blake in training Ternant was constantly screaming "BLAKEY" and having a go at him. After training Robbie was in mood saying to Little, "I have only just signed and he is constantly having a go at me, why did I come here?", so Little had to explain that he is Blakey and Ternant was screaming at him

Those two on form were amazing to watch, both full of tricks and class.
More than a few moments of individual flair in this old match. (the last goal showed the 'same thinking' of them both)

Shame about the itv digital collapse, really killed morale and finances. But would have loved to have seen those 2 playing together for longer.

Some funny observations from those days the Ref hasn’t aged in like 20 years, but those two clowns running the full length of the stand with the big Burnley flags when we score has proper cracked me up, what were we thinking

Happy times watching those two.
On a side note, how long has Phil Bird done the commentary? He must be one of the longest serving staff members at Turf moor now!

Great player was little. I particularly liked the goal he scored at dumpdale when he curled it with the outside of his right foot

Just heard Robbie Blake on Bognor Regis Air and he said exactly the same thing-word perfect
