It’s all very cryptic but it doesn’t actually say that Orsic has decided to stay/extend just that there is a decision he’s not going.

He’s not in the daft video and there is nothing in the statement from him.

I think the only reason he had interest in Newcastle is because he thought he might get the wages.

I really hope we do bring in a midfielder, but I can't see it being Ramsey.

He won't get far less wages, Juventus will have to front most of his wages and we'll likely pay a loan fee and partial wages. Ramsey will likely earn some kind of signing on fee plus will be eligible to any end of season bonuses.

I’m amazed people get so excited over rumours of Burnley signing players. If there is one thing we’ve learnt, is that’s we are absolutely bobbins when it comes to recruiting footballers and we very rarely manage it.

Attracting top level players to our club at this level is a tough ask obviously. Hard not to criticise the club, but you can only play the hand you're dealt I suppose

He'll know that despite saying he wanted to play in the PL that option is all but over for him if he stays.

All we had to do was pay the 7m up front, not in installments.
After receiving 25m up front for Chris Wood then this is **** poor from Pace.

To be honest he could have just used the interest to get a pay rise. They offered him more money to stay. He gets to stay at home with his family and two young kids.

Sadly our reputation and draw just isn't that great. We can't offer silly money to make it impossible to turn down.

Not sure it's really our fault. What will be our fault is if we don't have someone else lined up as backup.

Besides, the way I read it the saga wasn't over yet. However it's possible that's just bad English.

Do people not realise it’s the selling club, the player and their agents, that are in the driving seats in these deals, When dealing with clubs like us that can’t throw money at it.

Trying to and actually spending are completely different things.

He’s had a whole month to get deals done yet two days before the windows closed no one is through the door

There's a difference between "pumping money at it", and continually falling at the final hurdle of signings with no time left in the window.
