Newcastle apparently going to sign Burn, Zapata, Henderson and Lingard before tomorrow night. This could work an absolute treat for them or backfire massively with that much of a squad upheaval.

We need to put what Newcastle are doing out of our heads and get to 38 points. That should do it and nobody deserves to stay up with fewer, even though they sometimes do. Beat Watford and we would need 23 points in the second half which is very doable if we get a signing or two and have luck with fitness.

(I will guarantee some clubs WILL be flapping about what Newcastle are doing)

From German newspaper:- The English Premier League club FC Burnley had already made a purchase offer for the Dutchman. The British offer 12 million pounds, the equivalent of 14.43 million euros. On Sunday, everyone involved reached the final agreement, Weghorst will sign until June 30, 2025. In the event of relegation, an additional payment of around 2 million euros will be due. The deal is set to be officially confirmed on Monday.

He didn't. His current contract expires in 2025. I guess most of the fans thought he got himself a new contract because of the announcement video.

Weghorst appears a good signing but is the bare minimum recruiting we needed to do.

Bottom of the league with 1 win all season means we need to actually add to the squad, not just replace one who went out. Let's see what happens tomorrow.
