5 - blowing the whistle when half the team had already left the field at the end of the 1st half was hilarious

The poorest for a long time, bar Friend.
Saw nothing except if one of theirs was out muscled and dropped to the ground. Conned continuously. Grrr!q
Also, all that time wasting and just 2 mins added.

Shockingly poor performance
The number of fouls on us not given compared to them was unbelievable

He was bad. Frankly the standard of refereeing and what I see as a bias against us is putting me off watching football. As with VAR I just think ex players would make a better job of it. A nudge and its a foul. Our centre forward gets wrestled to the ground and nothing given. I'm getting fed up of it.

If he thinks tonight’s refereeing was acceptable then he is wrong. It is no wonder we have no refs at major competitions as if you can’t see something under your nose you’re wasting your time. Too many incidents to list. Apart from missing the obvious he was also giving fouls for shoulder to shoulder and powder puff challenges where modern players just seem to fall over fresh air.
I started with what I personally think of him but thought that would bring me down to his ability. The

belly.

A - 5. missed a load of simple fouls yet gave others where a nudge was all there was
B - 5. fell for their antics and ended up penalising us 16 times to their 9 and I don’t recall a bad tackle
C - 17. fitness OK but positioning not the best
D - 5 didn’t stamp down on their timewasting, shoelace tying, diving etc. Tried to call VAAR when some of our team were already in the dressing room. Should have given Stephens a 2nd yellow.

Amazingly gave 2 minutes stoppages at the end of the game, yet a Watford player took over a minute to tie his shoe lace in the first three minutes of the second half.
This was followed by another shoe lace stoppage where two players tied their laces at the same time.
Then there were three second half subs

Terrible. Ably assisted by a linesman in front of The Bob Lord Stand who spent 90 minutes guessing. I think he won his role in a raffle.

The performance by the referee was almost appalling as the players' performances.
An official who can not even time a game correctly and cannot get the basics right has little chance of being a good referee:

He played one good advantage to us and I was thinking he WILL to go back and caution the Watford player but he didn't. Stephens got booked for a flailing arm, Watford players didn't. Really poor. The AR on the Bob Lord side was comically unsure of anything.

Yes he was guessing. One instance of a throw in he hadn't a clue till a player picked up the ball to take the throw.

I agree. However, it was wet, windy and cold.

I liked the one where he played an advantage (credit where it’s due) and then forgot which Watford player committed the offence. When play stopped he had a little look around to see if he could identify the player then shrugged his shoulders and cracked on. The players ignoring him at half time and walking off was also amusing.
One of the worst ref performances of the season which just added to the frustration.

He was going for his yellow card but he didn’t have a clue who it was.

What a clown. Surprised he didn’t get a word in his ear.
