For people that live away from Burnley that leaving early could be the difference between catching the last train back to Manchester for example or a £40/50 taxi home, and that’s speaking from countless times over the years.corporal jones wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 12:35 pmOP here. For those of you who clearly cannot read and therefore cannot understand my original point: I fully accept fans right to leave early for whatever reason they so choose. The question is: why? Having taken the not inconsiderable effort and expense and , if certain posters are to be believed, travelled long distances to be there, why would you want to miss the conclusion of the match? It simply does not make sense.
As it happens, my seat is towards the back of the BL block 2. I used to live in Nelson and now in Hapton. I park at TK Max and it has never taken me more than 25 mins to get home in either direction.

This is some back tracking isn't it. Your post said some nonsense about them "all being doctors and having sick family members to see"- Clearly a load of nonsense you made up to try and shame them- so you can stop pretending you've no issue with people leaving, you've made it explicitly clear that you do. You've been rightly called out on this thread for being a knobber.corporal jones wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 12:35 pmOP here. The op is asking why. I am saying why are you asking as it has got absolutely nothing to do with you. Keep your nose out of other people's business.
Re: Early Leavers-Again Im afraid!
Imagining saying you wouldn't simply stand or move your legs for people to go past you while trying to call them "ignorant"CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 6:12 pmSo, we have had the usual "Doctor on call" and a couple of "I have a plane to catch" - the rest of you can sit down, cheer your team, clap them off and stop getting in everyone else's way.
No, it is not your right to leave when you want, don't be so damm ignorant.
As for all the crap about leaving 5 mins early saves 3 hours off your journey - rubbish. This is Burnley, not Old Trafford.
Anybody tries to get past me when we are hanging on in the 89th minute can climb over me or go round!
Wasters!

What about those who ARRIVE late and leave early.
There prerogative I know but??
Maybe the club could offer a 80 minute season ticket

Aside from the fact that the car park you mention is only for those shopping at TK Maxx and Home Bargains, isn't it a maximum of 2 hours' parking on there?corporal jones wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 12:35 pmI park at TK Max and it has never taken me more than 25 mins to get home in either direction.
To park up, walk to the ground in time for kick off, 45 minutes plus injury time for the first half, 15 minutes half time interval, 45 minutes plus injury time for the second half, applaud the team after the full time whistle, leave the ground to get back to your car and leave the car park itself all within 2 hours would be quite a feat.

Re: Early Leavers-Again Im afraid!
I dont mind people leaving early or pushing past me on my end seat to go to the toilet or get a pie.
What irritates me is those that do so paying no attention to where the ball is. Why cant they wait until there is a break in play therefore not upsetting the view of the action for everyone they pass

He doesn’t leave before the final whistle but to be within the 2hr allowed he misses the first 15mins of the matchSean Dyche's Watch wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:06 pmAside from the fact that the car park you mention is only for those shopping at TK Maxx and Home Bargains, isn't it a maximum of 2 hours' parking on there?

I hate it, hate it. HOWEVER getting out of the longside (cricket field end) is an absolute joke after the game going around the fencing and literally takes 10 mins just to get to Belvedere road so I don’t blame people for wanting to avoid that. Actually think it would be quicker to walk all the way around the ground the opposite way.

You wee in the car ?Awayfromburnley wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 1:17 pmI leave early most games. Soz.
Why? Because the town has basically a packhorse route in and out and if I dont leave 1 minute before the end of injury time then it can take me 3hrs to get home.
I hate leaving early. I hate the thought of missing something. I dislike not being able to clap the players off.
But i equally hate being home late, feeling crap in work, having a wet legs driving home (exacerbated if sat in traffic longer)
Is there a form I should fill out so seek you approval to leave early, Sir?
