Well I’m not actually in need of a visit to the penis clinic, but whilst I have your attention, could I please ask for one favour…

If you can afford to do so, please bring a single item (or more) to the CLARETS FOR FOODBANKS collection tomorrow, before our game against Man City.

I’ll be on duty with West Yorkshire Clarets and if Devils Advocate comes and introduces himself, shakes my hand and proves his identity, I’ll donate £10 to the cause, I too if the carrier bag full of things that I’ll be contributing.

Please, please, please, put a reminder on your phone RIGHT NOW, for a few minutes before you’re due to leave and make sure that your tin makes its way into one of our eight bins.

Needs must. Pre-pandemic, we had momentum and we were returning bins 60-100-% full.

At present we’re returning bins well under 50%. We need that mindset re-instilling.

Any donations arriving after 2:45 pm can be taken directly to the container next to the fan zone, where community staff will gratefully take them from you.

Just kick-offs between 2 and 5:30pm at present. I’m sure you could drop it off with someone though. Perhaps Tony will be able to answer that one

It's been more difficult this year - we weren't allowed to do any food collections until the Palace game in November and then it has been so stop/start with a lot of midweek games too. There's been less publicity for it as well which hasn't helped. But we are out and about for the remaining afternoon games this season.

No - just isn't possible to get volunteers down there in time but for the next weekend game Leisure will be leading Accy Clarets on duty with Central Lancs Clarets (West Ham) and North Manchester Clarets (Newcastle) to follow.
